Chaos essence doubt

Hello, Im coming back to the game after a long break.

I have a doubt related to Chaos essence. I used the "search function" and couldnt find any straight and clear answer. I got one item and I want to use it wisely.

Do I keep the stats (str, dex, con etc) of my race after using chaos essence?

Example.
white elf = 61 DEX as basic stat.
dark elf = 56 DEX as basic stat.

My main is white elf yul moonlight, if I use chaos essence and become ghost sentinel, do I keep the 61 DEX as basic stat?

You do. You just gonna lose the moonlight skills(movement speed, reuse delay etc) for the ghost sentinel ones(skill power). Your race base stats won't change.

Gonna piggyback on the OP and ask if I got a orc iss hierophant, cant I change it back to dominator?

Can i change my dual class from yul to feo? w/o losing the exp?

 

Only at "red libra event" you can change to another classtype without losing exp.
With chaos essence you can change only the archetype, as example from YUL kamael to YUL dark elf.
