I tried a duo to measure. I got simply half the exp for each mob. Also it is taking me 84k exp to drain my SG 1% in party it took 39k to drain SG 1% Spending the same amount to get half!
I do too, when is party based game ppl start discriminating classes cause don't fit their criteria and make em useless. This way is much better.
Essence is a solo-play and p2w version of L2, making you able to do as you like by urself. And, tbh, i love this. Not the p2w part but, it's not so broken (i mean, with like 20-30 euros per month you can keep up with XP, once you get to a certain level you can focus on p2w items and just let ur SG die)...i love the solo-style a lot. I'm no longer forced to log 7 boxes to full buff myself and i don't even need to waste my time with noobs who can't even do their job, like healers being unable to heal you during PVE contents. Wish we had more SG items to allow us to play w/o spending a cent but...
I've seen 100% of the time when players have a healer in group they do nothing to save their own lives. They'll run into a group of mobs, they won't use their CC to prevent taking damage, they don't use potions. They lay it 100% in the healers' hands and then get irate when they die. Sorry, I just always have to defend healers, it's a thankless job. As for Essence, I don't mind there isn't a party bonus, but the penalty seems a bit much. Sure split the XP 50/50, but split the SG 50/50 too rather than charging each full price. Also, I would like spots with higher hp mobs. I would like to live play sometimes, but the mobs die too quickly so it gets too buttony. Maybe at higher levels there are some? I'm only 63 right now.
Yea, I also don't mind spending on enchants or p2w items, I just hate to spent on saiha to just kill mobs, cos that's all it is - buy saiha to kill mobs

Git gud and realize you can still do everything you need IG w/o spending a cent, spending money will just speed up the process. Well, if i 've an healer to worry about my HP, i go a lil bit more reckless, sure, not rushing to suicide, ofc. Fact is that most of players are just bad and braindead. Not that i mind, i mean, most of those are spanish and brazilians, but for example we got some "alliances" in server, i play blue, and you can see people just ignoring everything. Yesterday i had to pvp against my own ally 'cause this duo of stupid summoner (chapu and another one with a random name...kwc...kzc...) came to PK me. One clan is ally the other clan is friendly. Then when you PK them in open field they are like "???", eh, not so cool on ur own. Essence is a solo player model, that's why they "discourage" XP pts...even 'cause you don't need party to exp. The only scenario when you need pt to exp is when you AOE, and maybe not even there. Ofc, CPs are a must for the late game when you'll PvP and make raids. One thing i don't really "like" about how the essence works...i mean, ok that raids are not meant to give xp...but at least some % wont be bad. Even an extra "lamp" would be good as reward.

I am troll if you still didn't understood in 10years(dat took you longer then expected), but anyway you must understand that no normal person gonna play this joke server with such p2w mechanics and just idiots gonna waste time creating gazillion bots and farm 24/7 saiha to be at least in middle class... But I respect ur all guts, as smtimes I think too: mby is worth stay and try my best... But then I remember that I am much smarter then that... So no deal for me... not with this new p2w practise... Anyway enjoy ur server till you can and I will enjoy my pks ;P
