Hello, I am looking for server, atm playing on essence, would say, a big spender, Is this server worth starting? How many people online? Character you would reccomend for leveling / pvp? How long does it take to reach decent level? What about equip? Thanks for any info.
From my perspective: It is indeed worth starting a fresh character and playing around. The online status is decent, but mostly nowadays people exp and do stuff on their own, not many partying going on (but a solo adventure is still sustainable!) Recommended characters to play (which are the meta-game right now) are Yul Ghost Sentinel (archer) and/or Feoh Storm Screamer (mage) (Dark Elf race). Leveling all the way to 105 lvl is pretty easy and straight forward; and even beyond that its decent. About equipment, they solved that a bit with this update PoW Part 3 now. After completing first 2 Exalted quests after level 100, you get free decent weapons and set and brooches and shirt. You can farm pretty easily with them. So yeah, all in all, i'd give it a shot. You can always decide later if you wanna stay and play, if you like it, or you can be all "meh, nvm" and go at any point. Have fun!
leveling is easy, before PoW you was able to reach 97-99 and drop game because your gear simply disappear, now you can reach 105-106 in few days/week, hardest part would be from 99 until you finish 2nd exalted quest with paulina weapon in overcrowded blazing swamp. later you get better one (similar to enchanted shadow, but with weaker bonuses). To craft something you literally need spend ~1+year exping/farming outside town on 100+ mobs to collect enough aether. you can get 120/day and they cannot be traded. unless one day they'll appear in l2store, until then crafting - dead. which means you have r99 set and r99 weapon and lv3 brooches for free which is pretty good, and paulina tw jewels, which is not so good. that's it.. macrobobing now only for exp, adena drop.. well.. where mobs dropped 25k-50k now drop 250-500 only in timed zone you can farm something, but in order to farm there.. it's another story. also will be big challenge to collect 8 rune stones to learn 101 skill, so that's ~2b my friend who started new char on 24th december (old cp member lend him r110 retri+10 and +8 robe set + few jewels like soul aq, istina wiz neckl/ring, etc) from lv1 to lv104 gathered 90M adena.. so gl. tl;dr now easier to level, hard to find party, nearly impossible to upgrade gear without shaking your wallet.
