My clan and I want to quit lineage 2 essence. I wonder if it's worth it. if the system is the same or similar with essence. I say in the macro, and in the pk system
idk how is there, but in core pk is stupid.. i cleaned ~10pk in 2 or 3 aoe in blazing swap, and even if you die red with 1k pk you won't drop anything. and macro.. autobobing is same as use soulshots... and other thing, for f2p player you can reach 106 or 107 and then quit because impossible to farm anywhere, and adena income is lower than price for shots or teleports.
Yeah, I started during Xmas holiday break and it's difficult to play here as you can't sustain yourself... Don't get me wrong, changes to the game that enable you to receive free gear are great, but once you hit 105 (takes two weeks at most) and gather all the freebies you can... You're stuck. You can no longer play at Blazing Swamp (99-104) and you're not equipped enough to play anywhere else... There are no drops to speak of, so you can't get lucky, adena from mobs doesn't cover costs of shots even remotely (takes 10 hits to kill anything at 105+ locations for a mage). Unless you are prepared to drop substantial amount of money - I'm talking around $300 - on a set of +crit dmg. jewelry, at least +10 OE'd weapon and at least +6 OE'd armor set, forget about playing l2 in current state. If you want to pvp then you'll have to spend x3 that amount, otherwise you'll be getting 1 shot in every encounter. Sure, you can do instances and some low lvl stuff hoping that nobody will kick you out for not having the gear, you can even do some aoe here and there if you're really lucky or find a clan that actually does something together, but the bottom line is, this is not a f2p game. Difference between this and Essence is not that big.
If the problem is macro and pk, then its same as essence afaik. As for the rest, do not listen to people on forums. As long as you have people to play with and make full party you can literally do anything including making money. The most tears come from people with 0 knowledge of the game and who want to solo everything now.
that I remember L2 is a mmorpg that is to say that you need people to play with to get the taste in the game. There are if you know where and how. Less than before - yes, but still very much possible. Problem is, 1 week char wants to make 1b/hour solo and doesn't bother with 200-300 mil/hour.
i would be happy with 100-200m/day. but there is no chances for that in <105 open field zones. i tried primeval isle, but when evi with SM and br kill 3 mobs at same time 109 feoh kill group of 10+ mobs.without boosts you hitting mobs like raid, hp barely moving. or your offer is fap in blazing swamp for next 6 months with new char, and farm circlet stones? they also going cheaper, i sold 1 for ~400M at first day after update, and 1 week later their prices was dropped by half, and i think now they cost less than 150m. more and more their prices will go lower. so tell me how to make adena for at least basic gear and rune stones for 101 skills? make "random parties" for balok (istina probably closed or not?), wait 2h for regroup, and pray to get that rune stone? me and my friend "started" with new update, i had some gear what i didn't sold, and old cp member for my friend borowed +8 set, some epics (soul aq/baium, istina wiz neck etc), and +10 r110 caster. in 1week on "afk" on brand new char from mobs he managed to gather whole 120 millions until he reached 105, another 100 come when he reached 105 on dual. huge income for 2 weeks of afk. huge. Or maybe you can give some tips how to earn money for f2p player who have 1PA and can play 2-4h / day. or you still can't accept fact that game have 2 options - f2p as demo up to 106 (reaching 107 would be hardcore mode), and p2w when you smash l2store button like hulk from avengers smashing everyone who is moving, and those who is not moving he forces to move him.
It's still a mmo. The original question was talking about a whole clan. Accept the fact that if you're solo you have to spend money. If you have cp/clan you can farm just fine. It's a compromise NCsoft made in development. You will never compete with the whales but farming is always available.
