Server: Blue (Eu) Name: nearemus This guide is made by an old school Lineage 2 player which is enjoying the world of Lineage2 since C4. The idea of this Guide is that you have to understand that things are pretty different in here from what you may already know from the old Lineage 2 clients. We can start by talking a little bit about the map itself. Now, in Lineage 2 Essence, the things are way easier now when it comes about hunting raids and picking the right location for you. You can mark zones as favorites for faster selection which is a really cool feature. There are already plenty of guides on how to level up so you may have a look on them, because this is just for sharing the idea of what's good to know when you will start to play Lineage 2 Essence as an old school Lineage 2 player. There are not so many catacombs and necropolis left, most of the areas are "custom" with an increased number of monsters in order to be able to hit something. Before we move to the farming aspects, let me tell you one fact. This server is packed with players. Each single zone is full of farming people. Farming in Lineage 2 Essence is definitely on your taste, if you are an old school player, because grinding is one of the best features in here. The biggest advantage is that you won't have to use illegal 3rd party programs in order to farm over nights. You have an automatic hunting mode, with many cool little stuffs, such as Long range farm/Short range farm. Respectful Mode (ON/OFF), automatic use of potions, scrolls and PVP/PVE mode. Farming over night is also better now, because you don't need 2 or 3 boxes in order to buff your main. There is an automatic buff option for each single character. All you need to do is to buy the spell books for the desired buffs and learn the skills. Items will be kind of alien at the first sight, because there are many little things to be done, in order to be able to PVP someone. There are cool cloaks which are changing stats after each enchantment, belts, agathions, pendants, jewels, dolls and many other cool things. Now, you'll have to forget everything you know about how armor sets does work, when you are talking about A grade. Because, in here, A grade is TOP. And when you think, for example, about Dark Crystal Robe Set, you don't gain the bonus stats when you have the full set, but now every single part has its own stats. That's why in here you have to get used to mix items. If you are a mage, for example, get the main as a robe (DC Robe) but combine it with Tallum light gloves (which are cheap and are giving 15% casting speed) and so on. In order to check the stats of each individual armor component, you can check The Game Assistant under the Exchange Coupons tab. There you'll be able to trade coupons for C/B and A items. You can still see the items, though, even if you cannot get anything from there. Don't worry, you'll get everything you need by being active. Jewelries are pretty much the same, except raid jewelries and unique jewelries, which are increasing in stats by enchanting them or upgrading them. Events in here are really cool, some of them being really really unique and rewarding. For example, you can get pets, dolls, rare items and many scrolls and potions for your farm. As an old school player, you may already think: "Hey, what about the quests?" Well, quests are still cool for some of us and in Lineage 2 Essence, the quests are pretty hardcore by having to kill 500 or 1000 monsters in some specific areas, daily quests for extra experience, daily clan activities, orc fortress and many new cool things. Adena is our God in here so we are all striving to be as close to it as possible. Honestly, making adena is not that easy for the new comers but that's nothing new for us, right?
