Hello, i am 3yon an Othell Ghost Hunter playing on Core(+Tiat).

In this guide i will give you some basic dagger macros. Even though the macros aren't too
complicated there are a few things that you need to know about them beforehand.

First you need to know that these macros are mostly for mid-high tier players with 50b+ gear in their inventory. The reason for that is that daggers need a big amount of cooldown reduction to have efficient rotations with their skills. However if you are a new player it would be good for you to read and keep a note of the information so that you can use it as soon as you gear up.

This is a list of core items and skills that you need to gather cooldown reduction
    +8 Light set (any type is good r-grade , r95, r99 or r110) 10% CDR
Frintezza soul necklace + Mind 13% CDR
Dual skill - Certification recovery 4% CDR
Ability point - Berseker skill acceleration 3% CDR
    Sayha talisman lvl6 + venir 12 3% CDR

These items in combination with basic iss buffs which give 30% cooldown reduction will
provide you with 63% CDR. That is enough for the following macro.

    Close combat macro.

    Macro content.
    01. /useskillforce shadow chase
    02. /useskillforce heart breaker
    03. /useskillforce blood stab
    04. /useskillforce chain blow
    05. /useskillforce flash bluff
    06. /useskillforce heart breaker
    07. /useskillforce blood stab
    08. /useskillforce chain blow

This macro is best used in areas where monsters are very tightly grouped together.
Recommended farming zones for the close combat macro are Enchanted valley(104 lv),
Tanor canyon(107lv) and Field of Silence(109 lv).
Note that when you drag a skill on your macro line it is always "/useskill blood stab"
which means that you need to add "force" at the end yourself, it is not automatically
    like that.
The reason that you use /useskillforce instead of /useskill is that it makes your character
use only skills and no attacks afterwards. Which means that you will farm extremely
efficiently without wasting time and soulshots on pathetic low damage regular auto-attacks.
"/useskillforce" is the reason that cooldown reduction has such a high requirement because
when you don't auto-attack there is a non stop barrage of stabs which is perfect if you have the minimum cooldown reduction needed.

    Long range macro.

    Macro content.
    01. /useskillforce shadow chase
    02. /useskillforce heart breaker
    03. /useskillforce blood stab
    04. /useskillforce chain blow
    05. /useskillforce shadow reverse

This macro is ideal for areas where mobs are far apart from each other. It does have
a higher cooldown reduction requirement which means that you need some more
expensive items to use it smoothly.

    Insanity talisman 3% cdr
Dragon rind shirt +5 or Shiny elemental shirt +10 3% cdr
    Sayha lv8+ 5% cdr
Homunculus Ayri 5% cdr (this is listed here instead of the basic cdr list
because it's ideal to wait patiently for the
top-grade homunculu which can take months to acquire and 600+ points to level up to level 5)

    Lazy raid macro

    Macro content
    01. /useskillforce heart breaker
    02. /useskillforce blood stab
    03. /useskillforce chain blow
    04. /useskillforce critical wound
    05. /useskillforce heart breaker
    06. /useskillforce blood stab
    07. /useskillforce chain blow
    08. /useskillforce shadow reverse

This macro is basicely a rotation of stabs with critical wound but without stuns or bluffs mostly for dps in instances/raids where stunning is useless/impossible.

    Top tier raid macro

    Macro content.
    01. /useskillforce heart breaker
    02. /useskillforce blood stab
    03. /useskillforce chain blow

This small macro has an extreme cooldown reduction requirement but it's just pure non-stop DPS. Use it if you have every cooldown reduction item in the game.

A few closing notes, if you don't have so many cooldown reduction items and your skills
are not ready to use when it's their turn you can try to add a few extra skills like critical
wound or bluff or shadow reverse until you gain the items that are needed to remove those skills.
You might also have mana problems if your damage isnt very high and you use 5+ stabs to kill
a monster. In that case probably downgrade into a zone that you can kill mobs with less stabs.
Another thing is that parralel with CDR you want to get every DEX point possible to reach
88 for 100% skill critical rate.

I hope this small macro guide was helpful to all the dagger players out there , see you ingame.:3451:

I got a question yesterday about the first macro and i wanted to share the answer just in case people are interested in that info.
Q.Why not include shadow reverse on the first macro?

There are two reasons for that. In general your farming macro needs to be as reliable as possible. Shadow reverse unfortunately is not reliable at all in PVE.
Firstly when you cast shadow reverse in front of an enemy's face it does damage as if you hit the enemy from behind and while that is great there is a bit of a problem when you do the opposite and hit from behind, when you attack an enemy from behind the game counts that as a front stab meaning that if you stun a monster or a player and shadow reverse them from behind they will take three times less damage as if you hit them from the front.
The second reason is that shadow reverse has lower land rate than chain blow and heart breaker so if it's possible to have a macro that doesnt include shadow reverse it will have more reliable damage and as a result better xp or adena per hour.

Shadow reverse has some value at redirecting your character at the back of an enemy and also having a greater attack range making it a great PVP tool.

Niiiiiiiice guide and good explanation. i started my dual class as othell since it's new and difficult class for me but interesting in the same time.

i have few questions about this class and hope to receive your responses before events ends:

1- what skill enchanting i should choose for pve/p ? there is an option (pvp enchant for skills but would that be better than skill power ?

2- i have all my dyes lv 3 and 4 skill power - critical skill + p.atk. should i go for something different or this will be enough ?

3- what SA i must choose for weapon and what is the distribution of AP ?

4- this question could be more general than to be for othell classes only, is the ultimate and transcendent set better than supreme set or both are the same?

mostly this is what i need to know for now, if i have other questions i will post them here if i wouldn't bother you :)

Thanks in advance for your response

    1) Skill enchants should be +power at 99% of situations. At the very very endgame you can think about changing to +pvp power but by that time you will know everything if you keep playing that long.
2)Those dyes are great just keep in mind that you need 88 DEX so try to get there.
3)Helios/Krishna weapons have 1 option for SAs : Death + Fire, about AP its a bit complicated you can pm me ingame for some assistance.
4)I am not sure what you mean about the sets but the most important thing is that you look for sets are pve/pvp defence and the +8 enchant for the 10% cooldown reduction. Obviously the best case scenario would be to have any of the ultimate or transcendent sets +10.

Good macros !! Are helping a lot. I didnt know about the long range macros, so its great to know about it !One of the most important macro commands is /delay, delay forces a pause between each command so that they won’t stack upon one another so they can actually work. This macro guide actually helped me a lot when I started to setting my macros too !

The only thing I don't agree with in this guide is the calculation of cooldown reduction. The simple addition of the different cdr-s is wrong, so in your first calculations of 63% cdr is actually equal to ~50% (49,5%) cdr.
