Nick: BjorK Server: L2 Essence EU Ruby Aden's and Hardin's Soul Crystal 2021 Old and new runes: Since the "Frost Lord" patch, the runes used for weapon upgrades have changed. This guide will help you understand what has changed. All runes prior to the "Frost Lord" update have been automatically updated and replaced with new runes. The only way you can own an old rune is if it is equipped with a weapon, but if you want to upgrade it, just remove it from the weapon and the rune will automatically upgrade to the new format. In the image below you can check all the old runes and their current new format: Improving rune level: New runes, like old ones, have levels and the higher the level, the better the quality and attributes they provide. Upgrading the level of runes is very simple. You only need to have level 1 runes to try to level up the main rune and access the compounding system located at the bottom of the inventory as shown in the following image: Level 1 runes are lost during the process and can succeed or fail. Upon reaching certain upgrade levels, the rune gains a safe upgrade level, so if the next upgrade fails, the rune will return to that safe level. The safe levels are as follows: 1, 6, 11, 16 Before clicking on upgrade the rune, the system itself shows you what the chance of success is when trying to enchant that level of rune: If, when trying to improve the rune, you are unsuccessful, it will return to the previous safe level as mentioned above: In the tables below, you can check the improvement chances of each rune: Aden Soul Crystal: Hardin Soul Crystal: How to add and remove runes: To add or remove runes from weapons, just go to the option located in the Game Assistant and pay the amount of Gemstone A or B stipulated for each type and level of rune: As with the ancient runes, there are different attribute options to use, whether you are a mage or a fighter. The big difference with the new runes is that a single rune encompasses wizards and warriors with several different attributes to choose from. Remembering that the fact that you are a mage does not prevent you from using warrior attributes if you wish and vice versa. To choose which attribute you want to use, just when placing the rune, choose the attribute option you like best. The Aden rune has several options: While the Hardin only has two and for each weapon you can use up to two Aden runes of the same level or different levels and one Hardin rune of any level: To remove a rune, just access the Game Assistant again, select the weapon where the rune you want to remove is located and pay the amount in Gemstone A or B stipulated for removal: Runes removed from weapons are not lost and can be found in your inventory to be reused as often as you like:
