Fresh Yul Archer LF tips.

hey guys. i was hoping that a experienced archer can share some of his wisdom with me. i got to level 85 recently and i have a lot of questions that i can't seem to find answers to.
for example how useful is the hawk? i guess the purifying skill is good but is he any good in dealing damage? from what i've seen his damage is so low that its not even worth it to waste the time to make him attack.
also i can't choose the best stance. siege seems pretty good for pve because it gives more damage bonuses than sniper stance and the penalty is the same. the only thing you lose out on is the half kill and i'm not sure if its worth it. i've never had a situation in which rapid fire stance is useful so what do you think about it?
i think these are all of my specific questions. any general tips or tricks will be appreciated.

 

hawk really is useless so don't worry about him. you may use it if you really need some extra dmg on rbs. or to trigger another archer from your party.

as for stances. pve and rbs = siege fire. sniper stance is useful in some places where you need lethals (gog up, o3, soh). rapid fire - running in town! sometimes it's worth using rapid fire on pvp, depending on yor lvl and dmg, you would have to test it for yourself.

oh and remember that tornado shot is partly aoe - it kills mobs on the line between you and your target.

thanks for the tip for tornado shot i didn't know that. oh and is pinpoint shot my strongest attack? it seems that recoil shot has the most power but pinpoint crits for the most dmg. oh and is bow strike any good? it seems like a useful skill in pvp or when the mobs are in melee range and all other skills are in cd.

 

yes, pinpoint shot is the strongest one - it's also the one that makes lethals on sniper stance. you don't use bow strike much, mainly 1 on 1 pvp vs melees.

 

i was wondering something recently. is it worth it to use your aoe skills on a single target like a boss? yes they do more damage than your normal attacks but less damage than your single target skills. i guess it will give you more burst damage but less dps overall because you will run out of mp faster and you could have used that mp on your stronger skills.

 

if skills really give more damage than your normal hits then use them. it's hard to run out of mana on yul, never happened to me.

 

well i run out of mana on zaken some times when the pt is slow and last night i had a super slow kartia run in which i ran out of mana twice even with rebirth.
