    tully lay in his bed asleep, when a sound of smashed glass woke him up. he rushed out of bed, picked up the cross-bow and shuffled out of the room in his pyjamas. the corridor was dark and deserted. the sound of the broken glass had come from the floor below.

    tully went down the stairs, his cross-bow at the ready. now he could hear careful quiet steps some way ahead of him. the hall was also dark with stains of moonlight splashed on the walls. suddenly tully detected movement in the depth of the room.

    'you filthy thief!' roared tully and dashed after the shadow that darted towards the door on the left.

    tully shot a couple of times as he ran. bolts hit the door, missing the intruder.

    the dwarf chased his enemy through twisting and turning corridors, failing to hit the aim - the thief was too dexterous.

    they ran into a corridor with a large window at the end of it. as the intruder was speeding along the corridor he tried the handles of all doors on his left but they all were shut tight and didn't move.

    'gotcha, you sneaky rogue!' cried tully triumphantly.

    the rogue glanced back at tully and then gained even more speed, heading for the end of the corridor, and jumped... he smashed the window and was gone out of sight, cross-bow bolts missing him by inches.

    panting, tully reached the window and peered outside - there was nothing to be seen. the thief had escaped.

    purpose: to establish the correlation between:
    1. dex/str and the frequency of critical hits
    2. dex/str and cooldown reset/double duration

    equipment:

    [IMG] blessed eternal leather armor enchant type set

    [IMG]

    [IMG] blessed amaranthine shaper (focus, 0 attribute, +0)

    [IMG]

    [IMG] blessed amaranthine dual dagger (focus, 0 attribute, +0)

    [IMG]

    buffs: iss 4 lvl [IMG]

    character: lvl 99 human othell rogue.

    1. the char landed 1,000 successful hits using the blood stab 8 lvl skill with different dex/str values. the weapon used was a blessed amaranthine dual dagger.

    [IMG]

    i calculated the number of critical hits landed with the blood stab skill. here are the results that were obtained for different str values:

    {tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}
    str100110120130dex50505050number of criticals350355360365critical attack chance, %3535.53636.5
    [IMG]

    figure 1. the correlation between the number of critical hits with the blood stab skill and the str value

    the following results were obtained for different dex values:

    {tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}
    str100100100100dex50607080number of criticals350370410440critical attack chance, %35374144
    [IMG]

    figure 2. the correlation between the number of critical hits with the blood stab skill and the dex value

    conclusion: the experiment has proved that the number of critical hits with the blood stab skill is highly influenced by the dex value. with the increase of dex from 50 to 80 the frequency of critical hits with the blood stab skill grew by 9% (25% against the initial value). unlike dex, the influence of the str value is very slight: while str was increased from 100 to 130, the frequency of critical hits with the blood stab skill only rose by 1.5%.

    2. in the second part of the test i tried to establish the correlation between the superior dagger mastery skill success rate, dex/str and weapon type (single/dual daggers).

    [IMG]

    the final ultimate evasion skill was used 1,000 times for each weapon type and dex/str value. the number of cooldown resets and double durations was calculated during the experiment.

    [IMG]

    the following results were obtained for single daggers while changing the str value:

    {tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}
    str100110120130dex50505050number of cooldown resets/double durations160200210220superior dagger mastery success rate, %16202122
    these are the results obtained for single daggers while changing the dex value:

    {tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}
    str100100100100dex50607080number of cooldown resets/double durations160163158161superior dagger mastery success rate, %1616.315.816.1
    [IMG]

    figure 3. superior dagger mastery success rate depending on str for single daggers

    conclusion: the superior dagger mastery success rate remains practically the same when dex is changed. this point is proved by the skill description, which says that the skill's success rate depends on the str value.

    the following results were obtained for dual daggers while str values were changed:

    {tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}
    str100110120130dex50505050number of cooldown resets/double durations160170190220superior dagger mastery success rate, %16171922
    [IMG]

    figure 4. superior dagger mastery success rate depending on str for dual daggers

    conclusion: the superior dagger mastery success rate is the same for single and dual daggers with maximum str. for in-between values, the superior dagger mastery success rate is higher when a single dagger is equipped. the superior dagger mastery success rate is 37% higher with 130 str than it is with 100 str.

    overall conclusion: the dex value influences the critical rate of attack skills for othell rogues. the str value influences the superior dagger mastery success rate.

    thanks, this answers many questions. any chance to get dmg output change at two factors a) str/dex increase b) single/dual dagger usage - all in blows, not regular attack.
