hey i just wanna say what's up with these idiot proof screens that win the event... i uploaded a screen of my char posing in x-mas outfit, cloak and santa's hat and some dwarf in majestic heavy set being chased by probably 5 aligators takes my place...seriously ! who the hell actually decides who the three winners might be... it was freakin' x-mas time.. thing rationaly :x

i love the infusion of nubz on the forum . it's quite fun to watch "boot" drama, screenshots drama or neighbour's goat is prettier drama :d
ill take the neighbour's goat over all of it , maybe this persons santa suit wasnt decorated with tinsel and failed to win , or felt the suit didnt fit the picture because to much of a drama queen and should have been the fairy on top of the tree instead
i will not judge the image nor your comments, i will just notice a very basic mistake you made ... you did not mentioned the name of the char at your posted image. when someone posts an image at the "screenshot of the week" contest, he/she has also to mention the name of the char. you nick name here at forum is "helen", but this does not means that your (ingame) char has the same name. be cool and have a nice 2013.
to clear things up - the screenshot event is not based on certain events therefore just because a screenshot has a christmas theme does not guarentee it a place in the winning 3 at christmas, the same way that just because a screen does not have a christmas theme means that it has no chance at christmas. also as teodore correctly pointed out your submission did not include your character name which is required as per the opening post where guidelines for the event are written. flamming other users on the forum just because you did not win and someone else did is not appropriate behaviour and will not be tolerated. thread closed as it just turned into a flame fest.
screenshot event 2 since i couldn't reply to the previous post. i'd like to add something in favor of the argument, some time ago ( when glory days launched ) me and another guy (turnon i think) posted 2 images about the death of the dragons, we both lost because without any initial clarification it was given a christmas theme to the event ( all the winning entry had something about christmas ) . at first i thought the dragon killing images may have been banal and unoriginal, but some weeks after some guy won with a pic of antharas. i don't care if u wan't to have a themed screenshot event, next time just write it on the initial post that u'll only take christmas screenshots in consideration...
sorry m8 ... but you are wrong ... that week, when you and turnon posted the two dragon killing/fighting images, only one of the three winning images was about christmas, the other two were, a landscape of the ruins of "ye sagira" (this was mine) and an image of a dark elf at the "dark elf village". at the "screenshot of the week" thread check "week 40", and then at the "community spotlight screenshot and video submissions" thread check the dates of the posted images of that week (thread page 21, entries 409-415, 26/november - 01/december).
you didnt get it, so what? go make new screenshot and submit again. it doesnt take uber photoshop skills to win it, but some creativity or just being in the right place at the right time.
for the last time, there are no set themes for any screenshot of the week, what screens win are just the ones that were picked, irrelevant if they had any christmas relevance or not. as i said in the other thread (which i will merge this into anyway) it doesn't matter of your screen has relevance or no relevance to a certain time of year, event occuring etc etc every screen has an equal chance provided they fall into the requirements set out in the opening post.
