here we will be updating you on what important is happening in course of the core battle tournament.

core battle tournament is an open tournament, held on a separate server, where parties of 7 people compete. all participants will be equally equipped for the battles. to compete a team should donate 500kk adena. the winning team will get a nice treat of a prize while 2nd and 3rd places will share the prize money, collected from all the participants.
matches will be held on monday, tuesday, wednesday, 5.00 p.m. – 8.00 p.m. gmt+0.
supplementary tournament days are thursday and sunday, 5.00 – 8.00 p.m. gmt+0.

to register for participation in the tournament, teams are to send an application to the support by creating a ticket in the tournament application category and providing the necessary information.

in order to have a chance to test battles and see what works well, what needs to be corrected, what is understood from the rules, what requires further explanation, what the quality of the server connection is, what kind of problems may arise, etc, we would like to remind you, when submitting your application to the tournament, to fill in the desired time and date for a test battle (25 february - 3 march 2013) field.

we are glad to announce that the tournament server is now open for everybody willing to test their connection and equipment.

in order to access the tournament server before even opening a browser you should do the following:
1. open 4game-service.properties (located in the 4game folder) with notepad
2. put "#" before the first line (#game-info-reader.remote.location = http://cdn.inn.ru/4game/config.xml) and add a second line (game-info-reader.remote.location = http://cdn.inn.ru/4game/config-pts2.xml) right below the first one and save it that way.

to switch back to core repeat the whole operation steps 1-4 with changes in step 2:

please, report any troubles you may face to the support team. the sooner we learn about your problems, the faster they will be resolved.

please note:

- you do not need to create new accounts for this server, currently existing ones will perfectly do.

- you will see two "pts" in the server selection screen. in case you do not have any characters on the normal pts, it may be tricky to get to the tournament server, as they appear in random order. however, as soon as you have different amount of characters on these two servers, it will be easy to distinguish one from the other.

- all newly created characters have 99.63% xp at level 99 from the start and the entire set of equipment in their private warehouse.

- you will be able to change your class only with the help of a gm. if no gms are online, please, submit a request at support.4game.com and indicate the desired class.

- gms do not delete any characters on the tournament server. if you wish to get rid of some of your toons, you will have to wait for a week before the deletion process is completed.

- you will be unable to leave the waiting room, which is a "peaceful zone" (this means that pvp is prohibited within the area). in case you find a way to escape, please, inform us straight away.

- the only npc in the waiting room is the warehouse keeper, therefore some options (like adding tattoos etc.) will be unavailable.

- although l2store is currently available, please, refrain from making any purchases there. using any l2store items on the tournament server is strictly forbidden.

here comes an update on how you will be able to access the tournament server.
when logging in the game as usual (that is, logging in to play on core) you will see another server in the choose-server box besides core, called luna. you choose luna and voila! you have accessed the tournament server! as easy as that.

nb: luna is a test server used to hold the tournament! it is not another live server!

also, please don't pick luna if you aren't participating in the tournament.

the server will be removed from the list once the tournament is over.

unfortunately, we have to announce that in case any player who does not belong to one of the registered teams logs in on the luna server, he/she may be permanently blocked there, as this server has been specially created as a platform for the pvp-event.
this is by no means a public test server or a live gaming server, so please, refrain from creating characters there.

with a short delay comes the breakdown of the tournament matches.
all participating teams are divided into two groups (a and b) that will have matches with one another during the first week of the tournament.
one match includes three rounds.
if a team has two consecutive round victories then it automatically wins the match.
second week is a play-off week where 4 top parties (2 from each group) will have semi-final and final matches.

finally, this long, overloaded with emotions day 2 of core battle tournament has ended and brought new heroes (although very familiar) and new spectacular battles.

thehorde were very determined and earned 6 pts with 4 consecutive victories over emoragequitteam and mesokcp in group b, being the only team to have >0 points so far.
s h [o] c k have fully recovered from the defeat and demonstrated a miraculous performance, pushing their rivals from tnt down to the ground.

the "redsky" team has used their right to make two substitutions in the flow of the tournament (in accordance with cl. 4.6.10 of the tournament rules): iurik is going to be the second aeore healer in the core line-up instead of leiry, and ilucie has joined the party as a yul archer replacement instead of haxero. in addition, thork will now appear as the main iss enchanter in the team's setup.

lirelin from emoragequitteam gave the place of the main yul archer to irgune, leaving her team till the end of the tournament. emoragequit still have one more substitution left.

having started in a vee-ery slow tempo, day 3 of core battle tournament got pretty dynamic closer to the end of the schedule. a hearty thanks to all the participants who were keeping us enthralled throughout these ~4 hours! we would also like to apologize for all technical failures which have occurred tonight - our streamer should have taken part in the tournament and fight for a graphic card for his pc. kidding, sorry..

fortunately, technical problems did not affect the playing teams - emoragequitteam successfully finished their 3rd round against mesokcp and were rewarded with their first 3 points for being so persistent. so far this is the second best result in group b, after that of the triumphant thehorde + gavin team, who have smashed {amber} without mercy and now have 3 victories in 3 matches played and pretty good chances to face an opponent from group a in the semifinals, whoever it might be.

everything is still unclear in group a, although most of the battles in this group have already been played. at the moment three teams have 6pts each - "black swans" from defro's s h [o] c k and w00dy's sqamsquad have vanquished their enemies from mel's unique team and are looking forward to playing their final matches of the group stage. nevertheless, unique aren't off the slate yet and maintain their chances to go further.

we would also like to remind you that, according to the tournament rules, it is forbidden to re-invite a disconnected player back into the party. this happened in the very first battle of the day, {amber} vs emoragequitteam, and an investigation is being carried out in order to decide whether the round or the match should be replayed or any sanctions applied. the verdict will be presumably announced tomorrow.

seems like all the teams have now found out what sort of battles (or, better to say, duration) our cute commentators like most of all. day 4 of core battle tournament, which was the first tournament day for some groups and, unfortunately, the last one for others, is over now with the following results:

tonight there was a clear leader in every matched pair, with all the fights ending up in a "2:0"-victory. {amber} is still suffering from occasional disconnections, having three members of the team off-party in the matches against allstars and mesokcp, which resulted in the team's sad defeat in both. however, it would be unfair to claim that alarion's party has lost only because of these sudden misfortunes - allstars have made a very solid debut, proving that individual skill is also worth something. despite the fact that this team consists of vagabond volunteers and is not represented by a stable core cp, hell and his teammates scored 6 pts in just one tournament evening (defeating {amber} and mesokcp) and have two more matches to play on sunday.
double substitution has not changed much in redsky's performance, neither has it seriously affected their strategy - the third match of troy & sindeya's team against s h [o] c k was a marvelous demonstration of black swans' outstanding pvp skills. the sqamsquad team was, as usual, fast and furious. in a battle versus tnt w00dy's party has put a firm full-stop in group a rankings distribution. no matter what the result in the last match of this group is, the first place goes to redsky, whereas sqamsquad are on the second position, which means that these two teams deserve the right to struggle for the top prize at the final, play-off stage of core battle tournament. congratulations!

now we are going to have two quiet days, free from the emotional tension, to prepare for the sunday night, when the last group-stage matches are to be held:

the shortest of all group stage days, day 5 of core battle tournament is over, brave warriors (wizards, healers, archers etc.) are hurrying back to core to continue doing errands on olympiad arena or at castle sieges.

the allstars team has proved to be the strongest of all in this event, having scored a total of 12 points with 8 rounds won out of 8. these guys from the "vagabonds" alliance are now firmly standing at the top position in group b. their rivals today were ydo's emoragequitteam and assazhi's thehorde. despite both falling to the ground relatively fast, they appeared to be decent opponents and did their best to withstand allstars' violent rush.

the saddest tournament day ever passed without a single match played. due to unlucky circumstances and other reasons, {amber}, emoragequit and unique teams could not be present at the battlefield, thus {amber} and erq ended up in a 1:1 draw, while unique got the first technical defeat in the event.
