Launcher installation

i downloaded the 4game launcher, but at the end it tells me that ms visual c++ 2008 & 2010 is required, when i hit "install" it starts to do something but nothing happens. i waited an hour but that waiting animation is still going... i installed all the visual c++ packages from 2005 to 2010 both 32 & 64 bit versions, even windows updated them, but the installer still requires them...

any idea?
