Mouse Problem

that was the first thing i did but it didn't help. it makes game a little bit more smooth but the problem still exists especially in olympiad games and mass pvp.

 

thank you both, at last we've got an official response, it took you a while, please don't get me wrong, i'm not being sarcastic.

it would be great though if you also checked my ticket and my thread which provide more details on how it can be fixed client-side, if only innova could tweak frost a little or provide drivers with 62.5hz polling rate.

 

it's not a frost issue with those lags, it is something with changed graphics characteristic on client in general... there is a small tweak to reduce such lags, but it gives a bit of discomfort while playing)) i could give it to you, if you wish to try

 

hello, with all due respect please read through. i did not say it's a frost bug and if you referred to the thread i spoke about you'd know what's up with frost it does not allow to launch l2 in windows developer environment (aka test mode), that would allow us to run generic usb mouse driver with the polling rate of our choice. innova could make a gesture and get a digital signature for that driver that would allow us to enjoy the game, that would be lovely.
i can provide the dirver that i tested and it worked fine (in windows at 125 hz /65.2 hz). getting such a digital signature could cost innova a little but in return we'd buy pa again. i for one stopped prolonging pa since i can't play comfortably any longer. please forward it to the innova management so they can consider it.

 

for all who suffer from lags and reducing reply rate does not help, try this tweak http://*********/52666317
instruction is in russian, but it is simple:
1. put aimemb.dll into system folder of game...
2. run x32.reg or x64.reg depends on your os and apply changes...

lags will be removed, but slight discomfort will appear... to remove this tweak:
1. delete aimemb.dll
2. run x32_off.reg or x64_off.reg depends on your os and apply changes...

those files are safe to use, developed by radix and each time you launch the game small info window should pop-up, saying "zzzzzz" if i am not mistaken, just press ok and play

 

that is amazing, it works, i can't believe you guys did not give up (it looked like it).
while the roots of the problem were obvious most of us probably looked in certain places only, if i'm not mistaken that dynamically linked library has been developed for a different application, likely for a similar purpose.

it will keep working till one file is changed in client, to be exact nwindow.dll, when it will be changed this tweak will die, but within a day or two radix will fix it)) it is already a fourth version of fix on for ru community, now it comes to you too )) and it will be used till kr colleagues fix their fault...

 

cheers. is it possible that radix makes a separate version for us that does not alter hover? as for now hover does not display a tip over a buff, skill or an item in the inventory. also, in order to be able to use an inventory item or remove a buff first it needs to be clicked and dragged a bit. still, better than freezes
i am a coder myself so i know that a compiled library of 3.50 kb is not made of a lot of code.

 

this is discomfort i was talking about)) the same is for ru servers... it is the other side of fix, it causes such hover)) i just simply could not describe it in english ^_^

works the same way for me too. so radix will have the perma fix in a couple of days or i understood wrong?

 

you understood wrong - the perma fix needs to come from the korean end so we have no time frames for that - what casillias and radix have provided is a tweak (workaround) that may help alleviate the problem until the developers fix the fault - the reference to one or two days fix was for in the case that the tweak stops working due to another file in the client altering and radix aims to have the tweak reworked within a day or two in those cases to keep the tweak working until the koreans have fixed the fault.

i tried this, but it does not work. i put aimemb.dll into the system folder of my game folder and ran x64.reg (i am using windows 7 64bit). when i launch the game, no small info window popped-up. does the files required the operation system in english version?

 

i doubt it does as it was designed for a russian community in first place.
1. make sure it's in the true system folder, some people think a system folder means a game folder, it should be like c:\apps\lineage ii eu\system\aimemb.dll for example.
2. run x64.reg file again as an administrator or otherwise with elevated privileges.

the .reg file puts "appinit_dlls"="aimemb.dll" into the registry so the l2.exe application must be looking for it in it's own folder.

it worked for me instantly as i first tried it.

i am sure that i put the file in the system folder, where l2.exe is. i also checked the value of appinit_dlls by using regedit after i ran x64.reg. the value was sucessfully changed to aimemb.dll. furthermore, the value of "loadappinit_dlls" was also changed to 1. unfortunately, it does not work.

i wonder this solution may not be applicable to lineage 2 taiwan, which has the same problem after the main update of the counterpart of episodian (eu) or valiance (north american).

anyway, thank you and casillias very much. i moved from forums to forums trying to find the solution to this problem and finally see some hope here.

solved!!!!!!!!!!!by changing l2.bin to l2.exe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!wahahahahahahaha......

 

new problem appears after successfully patched.

i am using a laptop equiped with two vga cards, intel graphics hd4000 and nv 670m. it seemed that this patch would mask the driver of nv 670m. apparently, i could not run the game with hd4000 because of low performance.

sigh.....i have wait for the solution from korean.

 

nope, this tweak does not interfere into anything except for a game optimization and your problem is not cause of it... i have many friends who have the same mouse problems and two videocards and none of them complained...

 

i tried again. sure this tweak disabled my nv 670m. after i patched it, fps generally dropped. but the mouse problem was solved.

then i quit lineage 2 and ran saints row iv by using high performance video card (nv 670m). apparently, nv 670m was not working because i could not even ran the game smoothly with lowest graphic setting. furthermore, i could not even enter mortal kombat 9 pc edition when a pop-up window said i had no enough video memory. again, it seemed that my nv 670m was dead....

re-installing the driver did not solve problem. but uninstall the driver, re-start and re-install the driver revived my nv 670m.

what a strange problem!
