Not only to clan but he was contributing to the l2 comunity also (droping items in parnassus) what a player!
I love the word pretender: Which is the reason why it puzzles me when people use it for a competitor for a heroic status, especially when not followed by "to the" which implies the only meaning that actually fits for this high honor. Isn't it better to use favorite or candidate or anything else that doesn't have this dishonest, unjustified aftertaste. Or there is a reason why clan call their top guns pretenders?
It's more like, "Me no comprende, senior !" type of thing, rather than anyone using it for it's meaning.
The term "claimant" is sometimes preferred, but the term "pretend" in itself is not pejorative in this context. The original meaning of the English word pretend comes from the French word prétendre (and before that, the Latin praetendo meaning "to stretch out before"[3]), and originally meant "to put forward, to profess or claim". A pretender was, therefore, simply one who put forward or professed a claim to a title or, in modern terms, a claimant. wikipedia..
Ok @sh1ny, today is time for truth, on next update Archer will still 1 shot people. Was nice to meet U. Bay bay.
In this context it's usually used with "to the", i.e. pretender to the throne. But the way it's commonly used here it does sound a bit more like the two negative meanings.
So u just use terms which suits only for u? What about a context of whole sentece? U seems to be missing a point by a mile, bcoz in that case a pretender is an ASPIRANT. Im pretty sure that even stanicheff would understand this. Peace.
I don't see any difference between kid and adult playing this game, both can be on the same level, age doesn't make you better, otherwise you would be master I guess
At least age matters on getting a good sense of humour, cause no real adult is laughing at that picture.
