NCSOFT will open a classic server

i play on eva, so unfortunately can't help anyone here ingame as you all want to start at gk. t_t who knew our server would be third in online when it was always full and officially number 1 at the start..... but with all the friend i have here i don't want to leave to gk and start everything from scratch.

1) yes, it doesn't change with time and you can also get it in cruma as drop item from mob. but you don't have to use the bone all the time, usual fire aoe or single fire nuke from 1st profession works pretty good when exping in cruma (especially with gloom) and in dv necr will use corpse burst. you need the bones only in pvp.

2) well, you'll exp a lot faster with dagger and cursed maingauche is a cheeeeeeeat thing... also arrows' drop is pretty good. i get them all the time as drop items, so you don't have to buy every single arrow.

i started playing gk, every time i click somewhere to run there there is like 1/5 chance my character will stop moving completely and need to click again, anyone knows how to solve this?

 

well i played l2 from prelude to gracia final or something. i know how slow the exp/drop rates were and i doubt they made it any more slower than what it was back in 2004. at the worse it's probably the same it was.

 

actually they made it worse, because the rates are between 0.3 and 0.5x of original rates. but that's not the worse part, worse part is that adena rates are 0.175x which means you will never ever use any soulshot in pve.

 

well, i like it when it´s hard to play and hard to get gear/adena/shots and stuff.
the problem of the most servers is actually the community...
ppl leave everytime after a few weeks/month and there is way too much donate...
l2 community changed for sure
but i still hope that on l2classic a lot of old guys will play

 

interesting. in any case, i'm certain they'll "normalize" exp rate/drop rate with the upcoming updates. and by that i only mean pre god like.

well people did comparison (on innova ru forum you have more info) between levels, so these values are relevant.

 

unless theres official info on the exp/drops rates, its a long shot, original l2 prelude info isnt exaclty easy to find let alone compare to.

or at least i would think so.

i remember c1 was slow but it was a lot faster than prelude, so it can't be too much slower than it was.

 

truth to be said, comparison was done between c1 off files and lineage 2 classic files, so all this is in comparison to c1. i don't know difference between c1 and prelude, but even if it was harder, i hardly think extremely nerfed adena rates had anything to do with it, but rather than with update that also adjusted rates for god+ client. if it helps you any, i can tell you that 30 level monster drops around 40 adena and highest (relatively) monster in game drake drops around 200 adena.

 

thats the way i remember l2 at start, it took me 2 weeks to farm 90k to get a forest bow in prelude. of course things changed and things got better with the upcoming updates and i'm pretty sure the same will happen with l2c.

when i get home i'll check if i have any screenshots from prelude/c1 times, might have taken some while pveing.

well, monster level 30 drops 40ish adena in total not per player. about drake, it drops 600-700 adenas which is bit less than 100 adenas per player, but you can't kill it without full party and it takes you longer to kill it with full (melee) party than it would take ordinary player with shots and top c weapon on let's say c4.
