NCSOFT will open a classic server

when they will post all will be surprised and happy i'm sure of that as i stated there is for sure some inner project bacgkround and there are reasons for that. maybe theere are at the moment some private servers where are some "$ staff and holding project of l2j or other paltform for 2-3 months and than again creating some random servers " but lets back on the ground you will never have better server than official one. and waiting on official platform for sure deserves waiting even if is taking long , i'm waiting as well as you all.

innova is having for sure strategy and site developed already there are management decissions behind , asking for registration and be mad or impatient is not helping and will not speed up process .

 

oh gods. can people not even wait a bit? take a chill pill. they are not withholding info from you to annoy you. if there was anything that the innova staff were to tell us, they would. few months this way or the other will make no difference when it finally opens.

 

people still don't understand that innova is not ncsoft they can't just do whatever they want. innova has to negotiate terms with ncsoft which means and make sure they can even obtain a classic server:
1. lincensing of a classic server
2. how will ncsoft get paid? (royalties, monthly fee,etc)
3. ncsoft would also have to develop a english version for them (do they want to?)

legal matters can take weeks, months to iron out.

and yes, i want classic just as badly.

 

screamerr what you say is valid but you miss 1 big point. the point that innova had all this time to open a damn survey/registration page, to inform players all the time about how things are going without generic phrases. we want to see that innova wants to open the server because from where i'm standing now, they don't really care at all. because if you really care then you do all necessary to convince ncsoft that l2 classic eu is a viable options by backing it up with survey data and so on. but if you need more than 1 month to only open a damn survey, it's pretty clear how motivated innova is to open this server.

 

while it's true that a survey needs no legal autorizathion of any kind, you shoul also keep in mind that even if it gets and amazing response (like >4k "will play 100%) it still doesn't mean anything for sure, because of all that other legal stuff.

if this were to happen, just imagine how pissed would community be at innova for being first hyped and then disappointed. in other words, i think they already know that it would probably work well, but they won't risk to compromise themselves with high hopes to playerbase until 100% sure they can actually launch this project.

just wait and hope, when/if they open an official survey i'd be pretty sure they will back it up with real server.

 

how would it look if they first get their legal issues out of the way, which by some people here might take months, and then setup a survey/registration website only to realize there's very little interest in l2c? i think it would be more appropriate for innova to first interact with its community regarding l2c through survey, registration website, questionnaires (or what have you) and if there's a good response, go with that information directly to ncsoft and say "hey, look, theres a lot of european people wanting to play l2c". surely it has to count for something.

i understand these things take time but i don't get the absence of information on whats going on with l2c. i think the issue with most people here, including me is that a simple registration website takes weeks or even months on end to bring up which is also accompanied with almost a complete absence of innova community manager intertaction. comparing innova eu to ru, it seems like ur did it over night.

 

innova and ncwest have other stuff to do. preparation for new update, infinity odyssey or smth like that. so not important stuff like 2 month ultra low rates p2p server for angry forum kids it's not in their "to do" list with high priority status. min when you can get l2 classic eu is around middle of may. don't expect it earlier.

 

this is true but what is the point of opening a registration and getting peoples hopes up if they aren't granted a lincense? i am sure people would be way more pissed off then they already are. and who knows there could be legal matters on advertising as well for all we know.

 

i'm pretty sure making money is on a high priority list of any corporation, lol.

 

how do you think. from where they make more money? from l2store or from lets say 3-5k accounts for 10eu/month?
easter is comming. you know how much eggs they sold in their "supermarket" ? + premium accounts.

i never said l2c p2p would or does make more money than l2 f2p, but if it makes extra profit, then why not launch it?

 

i will use magic word "if" but.. what if they care about l2c same as they care about core? some bugs not fixed whole 3 years, reported 100 times and nothing happened. not even single answer; rmt and ebay allowed, even in hero/world and other chats (it's about "wts l2store"). selling recalling and reselling chars allowed.. bots.. well they care about bots only, and not about all. doing w/e they want. or when they took items from peoples what they bought in ah for example 2-3 or even half year ago because that was "scammed item".. so what if same happens in that classic? ok first few months will be ok. and what happens later? again dead zone.

if project will start count with "double price " it is just my calculation , how things goes in ru and in eu , we had always double price
