NCSOFT will open a classic server

actually live and good buffer was rare thing, + gl to find someone at 3am if you have insomnia and have nothing else to do just play.. so log box and go xp. and few good things from box buffer:

• no afk
• buff at time
• you can go afk for smoke anytime you want
• don't care about slow exp
• don't go offline in middle of something
• no spam in chat/ts/vt or other voice chat client.
• <insert anything here>

 

this one made me laugh rofl, i have to admit.

 

• not everybody goes afk.
• read the above.
• complains about people going afk; mentions that going afk at anytime is a plus.
• not everybody cares about leveling at a slower pace(which if you don't, self buffs should be enough but apparently...)
• your internet can fail you and if it does both characters will die rather than the person you're with being able to save you.
• not everybody uses a vocal communication software.
• woooooooooooooooow

you can easily find people from other time zones at 3 am you glorious genius o_o even here in core which is not that populated at all~

what boxing a buffer actually is:

• you don't have to share rewards.
• you can actively play more than a role at the same time.
• two or more subscriptions will have to be paid.
• you'll avoid meeting new people as you'll lower the necessity for partying with strangers.
• you'll be soloing a mmo for a significant part of your journey.

 

i can understand why some people might want to have a boxed buffer, reason being their main class.

i played a bd which is a support class, i never ever needed to look for a group. people were throwing me invites the moment i logged in. level wise i was in the top 5 in clan.

on the other hand, when nuker groups werent as popular, we had a bunch of players strugglling to find a group. from their perspective it was good to have a boxed buffer.

though from what i've seen, nukers are pretty much fotm atm.

 

i played russian classic first month and a half and there was constantly parties looking for people at any hour of the day in party matching, of course i don't expect this one if it ever opens to be populated as gran kain ( i wish it will be but im being realistic here, russian community is probably bigger than eu/na together )

pd: i was playing ee with constant party , however i had a big problem when my party was off i wanted to search for group in party matching , like nobody wanted to invite elven oracle because se has both fighter and mage buffs ( aka dw,vr,empo,etc) while ee has ww,shield,might and holy weapon xd so you can take it as an advice...
if you plan to play solo with ee you will probably have hard times trying to find party.

 

what about archers? sr any good?

 

you can see in this video , dps / skills /stats etc comparative between archers , its in russian but maybe it helps you to make an idea.

 

ill take a look at it, i understand very little russian though.


p.s. yeeeeah, i didnt understand anything lol. sr doesnt look too bad from the sheet but might be very different when playing, dunno.

i've been here for quite alot of time ,wasn't posting since i guess community was aggresive enough to **** out some new updates about classic server (and i really don't like un neccessery spam ). but for more than a month there is nothing and this is getting me in a pissed off situation . so here i'm :

1) we didn't stop thinking that you are "withholding any info" since you're still doing it . having uninformed customer is one of the mistakes in it technologies that i guess you learned long time ago.
2) for now we don't need to have a definite "yes" or "no" . we need eu community of 4game to be allowed to choose if there will be a l2c in europe or not .

hopes are dead , its easter now 07.04.2015 and we was left in guesses and hopes again . providing us regular information about what are you doing these days in order to rise such a server will help to understand the situation .

casual players, that will cry after 2h of playing l2 =)

arguing about dualboxing is useless. on l2 classic playing support is 10 times better, then boxed, and every good pack will look for a live person. otherwise they will lose all pvps, all top spots, will die from mobs etc.
so there is no actual problem.

 

it is good for people who didn't played l2 in old days to choose class - you can see some calculations + skills of class which might help you but overall all deepens about brain , reaction , lvl , and gear , party , clan

there are i think for each class when i've watched them in november last year

 

it is the same as every other pre god l2 server , human is the most balanced and better then elf then dark elf.
i don't know, koreans allways boosted human class imho they are their favourites since l2 was designed.

but turnon is also right , all depends about hands + brain + gear + cp + clan etc.
and yeah there are these analysis videos for every role in youtube.

hawkeye: they run quick thanks to their skill dash, even though it's only lv.1, you can get around quickly. their damage is good and their attack speed is good. they're more of a middleman type class. they also get quiver of holding, increasing your weight limit. (boost attack speed, quiver of holding, blessing of sagittarius, dash, hawk eye, snipe, critical chance, vital force)

silver rranger: they run the quickest by default (but not as quick as a hawkeye who used dash) and have the highest attack speed and evasion thanks to superior dex, they also get skills later on that activate by chance when you get hit that make you and your entire party run a lot faster and/or shoot with bows a lot faster for a set time. these skills are godlike and sr arguably gets the best ones. their damage is subpar. (charm, elemental heal, attack aura,defense aura, entangle, sprint)

phantom ranger: they run fairly quick as well, just runs in the elven family, i guess. they do not have anything particularly special about them in terms of attack speed, but they are notorious for their raw power. thanks to vastly superior str, dark elf's are more of the slow hard-hitting type, and when you crit, it huuuuuuuurts. (confusion, drain health, attack aura, defense aura, freezing strike, hex, power break, sting)
