i have to say i m impressed by the work of the boys. they were much more original for me than the girls good luck to core girls though

 

true, girls almost all went with the "fall asleep and having a dream" idea, some videos i dont even understand them but well, good luck to our girls..... on boys side, if i would have the desition of who wins, i would choose without doubts, this guy vadim, totally original and even the video was connected to his picture of the 1st stage.

 

i agree with sweetnight! the boys did a really good job on their videos there is something that i am a bit concerned about though. there is a lot of copyright infringement in the videos that contain copyrighted music? the rules clearly state:

"3.6.4.
results of intellectual activity (music, trademarks, logos, brands, movies, videos etc.including
titles) as a whole, or their fragments, created by the participant, for which he/she is not an
exclusive right holder, including the results of intellectual activity, created under
commissioning contract, labor contract or any other civil contract;"

or am i wrong?

you are totally right. i was thinking the same, i saw a looooot of people with music that arent from game or their own material, and still they recieved and posted their videos.

nope, he is not even cute.... but at least he has creativity.

if you use music from the youtube library or sites that provide free music it's okay because that is no infringement of copyrighted material. but even by using the lineage 2 music you are infringing copyrighted material. there was no exclusive rights given to the participant to use the game music. the logotype however was allowed to use for the period of the competition.

furthermore, the video was not allowed to contain "demonstration of any other persons rather than the participant."
i interpreted that as no one else was allowed to be in focus in my video than myself. that's why i didn't go through with my first video idea of being a beauty shop that changed a shabby character into a really nice-looking one. because then someone else would have been in focus. but apparently that was no problem, seeing the majority of the people have included a lot of people in their videos and were published anyway ;o

l2 music is allowed, said by gm's as is an official l2 event. but more people, song copyright violations and so was really a worrying thing.

i shooted mps to the poor onyx to know what and what not was allowed and i recieved exact answers. neither classical music is allowed unless you play it, because it has copyright.

the question is.... now what? :s

i suppose if the gm's posted the videos, they are allowed. and well.. what is done is done but for the next contest i would suggest to settle the rules exactly >______<

 

really? so it was not written in the regulamins for the contest but if you wrote and asked it was ok? and showing other people in your video is not allowed but apparently it was allowed? and then copyrighted music by pop artists is not allowed but apparently it is allowed? xd i wonder the same like you, what now? xd

 

well, about showing other people...in the last contest the girl who won appeared dancing with a boy ( the rules were the same)... so i think that maybe if the other person don't show their face... it's allowed ( who knows). about pop music... "is not allowed". and other material i think that if you dont show the brand its okey.

 

so it was probably just me being overly catious then but it does say clearly that you may not demonstrate anyone else in the movie. perhaps they meant that you can't make the movie about someone else, but that other people are allowed to be shown together with you. if that's the case, it should be more clear in my opinion ^^ anyway, good luck to everyone!

okey, i admit here video was cool and fun to watch. but for gods sake it was miss lineage competition! and not "funny movie" competition!

but i see innova like always totally different option about everything.
