Useless to play tank ?

with a proper build and even on angel and zerk debuffs can land...

 

no offence but i seriously do not understand your logic. you like playing tank, you enjoy this class, maybe you are good but because "i can't be hero, so my char is useless" you gonna make new char and play something different? sorry to say, but it's stupid.

i play healer and i've playing with lot of tanks and trust me, there is only few very good tanks on server. and it's not about hero or gear. it's pure about knowledge and about how good you play your class. when my party was looking for tank, it was very stresfull to see, that there is no good tank left till we found our current tank. if you play good, if you will improve yourself and your char, ppl would love to have you in party.

so, screw thinking about another char and start play your tank.

 

you didn't understood me. i like my tank yes but i had doubts if the class is still needed in party's.i don't wan't to rerol coz i cant make hero or something.i said that only because winegod pointed that the hero tank is the one that matters and i have no ambition to make hero ever.but now i see that people still need a tank ,maybe not so much in pve but still in pvp.thank you all for your advice's and opinions .they helped me to gain some confidence in the class.

tank is not useless at all, silence, aggro, crowd control and party protect skills, the situations where u can feel useless, is, if you playing against 3 healers party or your healers die super fast, certainly can take a toll in your self-esteem as a tank player, but you play and learn, and keep improving.
i advice you, to take a dual class, that can use the same gear you use in the tank, so, you completely focus on building your tank, and not investing in two separated class's, cause only a few have the luxury of doing so.
and soon enough you will learn not to pay attention/care what winegod says d:

 

(m.ec would say) it depends... mostly of your personality/skill. if you're handless/clueless playing even most wanted class f.e. aeore won't help to find parties and progress. if you already have some basics, stick to tanks. people that gave you opinions/advices forgot to mention that they point of view focus on 99+. casual/eco play time up to 99 can be pleasure no matter class or solo/clan if you can organize your time.

 

debuffs? or de-target?

how you land debuffs on a character that is immune to them? hero skills can land through immunity, but the op is clearly not an hero.

another thing is, if enemy is on purge, and we have that "delay" on buffs effects that sometimes allows to land debuffs, why would tank waste cooldowns on purged /herod zerked/angel players?

i dont think using mass agro on a mass purged party is any clever at all. so as i said, most of time, tanks and mainly debuffing classes are locked in downtimes of "uselessness", except for ocasional transfer pain.

 

i think so too.

in my mind 3 healers parties are just "force multiplier" that allow you to stomp party you would already destroy easier because it block any clutch play they could do. but against a party that can kill any of your members with purge on, it crumble so fast it's not even funny.

three healers is only fun if your enemy can do zero dmg to you on purge. if they can kill even 1 guy on purge you will get screwed

 

u arent just experienced with top level pvp. go play amc top 8 letsay and u will see coordination in cancelling angel touxh or purge and landing tank debuffs is most important to win pvp.

acording to ur "coordination" a warlord win every pvp on a 7v7 cause i can cancel everybody's purge and celestial in 1 go. and if i am with domi we can cancel 3 celestials in a row. you telling me this is possible?

and what stops healers from cleansing the one who doesnt have party purge? y'all too used to play burst characters , and never have to deal with being the ones debuffing others. like on sprtc video where he doesnt need cw nor shadow chase to kill anybody. like on that terrible nuker from ba who posted some other day withotu doing single shadow snare, bads could care less if enemy has 3 healers or 2, coordination? you guys dont even debuff at all. u dont need coordination for anything with that mindset besides focusing 1 target.

ps: who was the party that carried ba when they were not dominating? hint : they had 3 healers.

 

well, u pvp on paper, we do in game. on paper, angel touch immune for 15s, reality kinda different. on paper ill put 1-2-3 debuff and ill make extra hit, reality a bit different just leave town, go pvp, go play amc etc... and u will see ur theories are fail. ..

 

well i kinda agree, if you guys are hiting for 40k and still complain about dmg (and its w/o debuffs) then for sure you dont need any of debuff. just next time input few k euros more and scream about ppl pring.

here u can check, equal equip. especially focus on 3rd match, where i got fast cancel on angel, debuffed, lost control over debuffs, lost match, eliminated from tournament. 1 cancel and gj from em to crowd control us perfectly.

 

amc and core are to diffrent things. on amc everything is same , here nor. gear, skill enchant matters. if you dont play on similiar condition even when iss cancel it doesnt mean you will won or get into good position. like its rly hard to debuff target and qq. nothing you can do. also when yours dd hitting max 15/20k and enemy hitting 40k. you simply will loose no matter what will you do. your performance doesnt matter if dps is kinda to high.

 

you didnt answer a single question of mine, not sure why u quote cause u didnt read. go cancel 100% those angelic touches in ur fantasy world.

its funny cause you believe angelic touch can be canceled easy, but you dont mention you can just as easily cancel party ud and sacrifice from tank, negating ur tank usefulness. lel'd whos the one talking on paper now?
