Why my dmg is sooo low?

hello, i have a feoh stormscreamer dualclass. its lvl 99 sapphire lvl4 opal lvl3 84k matk with buffs. now my question is: why my friend (same feoh, same element, 5k more matk, lvl4 sapphire, lvl 3 opal, like me) delivers a damage to mobs triple than mine? am i bugged? :/

 

triple? arent u exagerating?

does he have m crit rings and you dont?

does he have skill power trigger on, and u dont?

was the mob debuffed?

what mob you both tested it on?

what weapon you both have? (im gonna shoot in dark here and say he has pve and u dont)

do you have pics?

 

same skill?

 

84k is more like a necro matk stat, u should be above 150k as sts, and as yuna pointed out mcrit dmg rings, mcrit dmg from ap, he could have master's rage passive from dual class (skill power trigger)

im white elf so my matk is kinda low, but as i know, to make double dmg u need 4x matk. about epics there are differences, but a difference of 30% on direct dmg... i dunno.

 

if u was archer i had the answer to why the dmg is low

 

never believe korean numbers, that's a key rule.
if he has epics for m.crit dmg (and/or other things which amplify his m.crit dmg) he will certainly do double your damage or more.

your m.atk is also quite low for sts (even on elf), so just get some int on it too.
also the weapon type matters (buster or caster/retributer?), as they have different +4 boni.

then you have to see if the mobs has the same debuffs (none or does your friend use anything? remember to check the option to show debuffs of your targets).
then you have to see if you use spiritshots (duh :d).

at very very last (if everything else is on equal terms) you have to do the test around 20-50 times. the same test with the same skills and equal terms.
that's because magic damage from nuker skills do vary a lot.

in pvp my damage on a 20k-30k hit was going from +5k and -5k sometimes even more.
the higher the damage, the higher the %tual variation.

all this is just from my personal observation of always playing "nuking" classes (healer+feoh).

 

use spiritshots

 

i use blessed specter retri +6, ofc i use bssr, same debuffs...

ill put some +15 int, i think its the key

 

and what is your friends equipment ? dyes etc.

 

too many things to say what will make diffrence. for sure not int dyes. its only 1 thing giving small diffrence. also my stormscreamer at 97 lvl has same m atk.

 

rulers authority gives pve damage without changing m atk. could be something.

 

i thought about this aswell but if this other person has rulers authority, it means his gear would be far superior to gulia's to begin with...

 

each set of 5 int should give you between 8 to 10 k more matk

 

yes, a picture of both chars inventory would help a lot to solve this question :d

 

84k i have os my sts (main, lvl 100). For 150k m.atk u really need to be geared up whit some items, no?

Lvl 3 sets of +5 INT dyes, +3 INT bracelet, Blessed valakas(if not then istina wiz necklace), matk accessory(matk + int if u have the 2 stat ones) and then there is the weapon...exalted quest done should give you +3 on all stats, +10 shirt, agathion, venir talisman lvl 12 at least. Lots of small details to increase the matk.
