lag is about latency and is related to internet connectivity not hardware issues.

lag is an delay between action and reaction in internet

as for hardware lagg even a properly defragmented hdd can help a lot(especially if you install l2 on the same drive with your windows).

i ordered an ocz vertex 2 ssd 120go, i think it's quite obvious that all you need are :
    high frequency processor
very fast reading performance hard disk (a.k.a ssd).

too bad my motherboard can only handle sataii (3gb/s)..

i have a question and seems i can find the answer i need here- it`s probably stupid but i have no idea rly.
atm i have 1 hdd - my question is "can i buy and use 1 ssd in addition to the hdd , or i should have only ssd/hdd"? - my idea is to keep my hdd for programs/movies and so on and use ssd for games and a few programs ofc if the 2 can work together
because i am planning on getting ssd mainly out of curiousity :d would also love to hear good and bad brands - haven`t even looked up prices and storage capacity of ssd `s yet, so any advice is welcome

omg noob, you have almost same pc as mine, but i have the i7 ver of the 5740g. i actually wanted to buy a ssd but was too expensive at the time, so i bought a 7200rpm hdd and put the stock 640gb one on a caddy ordered on ebay (replaces the dvd drive). so i have main "fast" disk and secondary for files. but really, gonna get an ssd someday! and btw, for a cheapy laptop, this one is awesome for l2

    my little old pc
    amd phenom ii 1100t 3.30@4.0 + turbo function 4.5 max temp 45c i use noctua nh-d14 http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products_id=34&lng=en
amd ati hd radeon 6970 x2 connected in crossfire
    kingston hyperx ddr3 12gb 1600mhz
segate baracuda 7200.12 2x 500gb (one plate) connected in raid 0
    sony bravia 32"
    creative x-fi elite pro
    logitech g700 mouse

i dont have lags in any places, and i play on max details is working great, but there is a little problem in crossfire mode, i mean the card are used like all the time 5% max. when i was testing high five with this rig i had like 120 fps in giran where was like 5k people online. they could only update the game code to use more than 2gb of ram

take 64gb or 128gb, according to what programs you're going to install on ssd. just windows and l2 > 64gb should be enough. i took 128gb version cos im planning to install all programs on ssd (photoshop, cad, games etc.), and keep my 1tb hdd only as storage disk for movies/music etc.
disks with sandforce -chip have had many problems, and rma's. crucial m4 and samsung 830 have been so far most reliable, and also one of the fastest. i ordered samsung 830 128gb desktop kit since its bit faster than crucial, but price here in finland is about the same. intel makes good ssd's too but the are really pricy.

    60gb ocz agility 3 (os/l2), 2x500 wd backup

    offtopic:

i recommend u to use the new recording tool called "action" instead of fraps.
