Idea on how to balance the server population.

tbh stopping the creation of new characters on core for a month with at least 1 month announcement b4 that or smth like that not just posting on forums - santa event is now over , oh and btw u can`t create chars on core anymore but who cares about that , that might get some ppl to stop playing but if the ss lag isn`t fixed tommorow i`m rly looking forward to the postponed sieges and no ss lag there or any other problems can`t say i expect a major fail tough i rly hope that i`ll be wrong
moving chars to aria can be done when ppl there have the same lvls equip like the mass here , b4 that would be just unfair and that should also be to a set limit lets say 4k per server (random number given here) and if there are more players make a 3rd/4th w/e server in time but let the ppl on each and everyone on those servers enjoy the game as far as you are concerned - so no ss lag, no random disconects - just make sure u do ur job - no bugs either - talk things out with koreans for the player base it is your fault smth is not working or not fixed - cuz they are paying you and you are payin the koreans , so that excuse is not rly valid when said so many times.
tbh i rly don`t see how that license thing works you are just running a server that u can`t change a thing on, u can`t fix a bug, ss lags, can`t do things like ncsoft on their servers (path to awakening , mentoring, char transfer , nice web page and more) u r w8 for patches that fix 1 thing but make another 5 working ones - bugged, and you are still paying ncsoft money for that - it`s like if i start running an ncsoft server- well i won`t do **** but pay for net and server location - doesn`t sound so hard .

 

i have no mercy with core player. 8th dec started core. 22th dec started aria. close 14 days different. i made my choice to ignore my lvl 60 char to start from zero only to play without ks, overcrowded farmspots, lags, ss lags. you chose your way and i chose my way. nobody can tell me that this problems were not obvious cause all player knew the problems and they are the same like core start at 8th dec.

all cry and say that aria is emty and only noobs play there. i think that this player cant handle the truth and now they are mad cause the did not change the server where they char was only lvl 60. so i dont want a free char transfer. innova provice a game that work without laggs. they cant do anything if the player play on the wrong server if you want to play on a laggy server then play on core. if you want to play lagfree play ob aria. its simple and fine atm.

 

its not about my character i can always make a new one. i started playing on this server because 2 irl friends and some of their irl friends play here. they've got a pretty strong clan and stuff and theres no way to make 30+ppl some of which 85+ move to aria. if i move to aria im gonna play alone which defeats the point of playing here in the first place.

 

i kinda like the idea of playing on a server with many ppl. i don't care about those who want to play on a dead server like aria. when they realize aria sux, they can just reroll on core. i hope there will be no server transfer options. now get lost.

i prefer playing on a dead server without lag than a high pop server that lags every evening to the point you can barely play.

don't fool yourselves people, the evening lag on core isn't going anywhere, nobody will fix it, it will never get better.

maybe the staff will reconsider and make an event like this here also.. the activity on aria is not improving.

 

worst idea ever, even when they limited it to stuff equiped on char you still can transfer your stacked char. well, that's their way of "solving" shots lag. what aria misses is decent web and marketing campaign for l2 in europe. there's already feedback topic about web, so it might be improved one day. server transfers aren't needed here, wouldn't count on them either.

 

i think i said it already but the 2 servers are too close to one another both are new and allowing transfer from core to aria might actually lead to ppl leaving aria and most probably will.
if in 1 years time they open lets say a 6th server and core is still overcrowded - y then they can start a transfer to one of the old ones that has a lower population to balance things out and the new one will get the hyped ppl that want a clean start
