Siege lag.

fps loss is nothing unusual when there is so many ppl fighting in 1 place + 2x more lying dead on the ground but connection lag is... there were delays and lag spikes sometimes during first sieges and that made me rly mad...

 

yup it seam innova has bad computers their self

 

it was horrible. at least @ giran we could barely move and understand whats going on. innandril was a bit better but still delays killing the fun @ sieges.

 

not on 4 servers with god omg. god = new graphic stuff like effects heals aso so the hw requirements are bigger..

i got similar pc to yours with better graphic card and ssd and in some views with full details i got little lags, but when i lowered the details a bit the game was running 100% smooth without a single lag, so all this lag is just your home hardware problem.

summary: if you want siege with full details on god, you really need a good pc. wake up, it's not a c3 anymore..

 

wrong, game need new engine my pc isnt used in 30% and on mass pvp/sieges i cant move...

 

how is it possible that i was on 2 sieges and i was running without any lags or with only very little lags and you couldn't move if we play on same server with same engine ?

how did you meassure "your pc" ? i measured mine and my 6870 card was sometimes running on 100%.
the new god engine simply need more pc powa. they just launched god. the engine is core of the game. do you seriously think someone will remake the whole game core, because of you lagging the siege? it would be nice, but is not real. more real is you upgrade your pc and play sieges without lags this way.

btw. with this you can play smooth, but not on full details:

i7 2600k @4.3ghz
8gb ram
radeon hd 6850
ocz vertex 2 ssd.

for full details you need better graphic card.

 

i was at sieges and play with i5 @ 4.0 ghz
4gb ram
1gb video
and was totaly unplayable at giran

maybe you was at hunters village siege where u had no spikes lags freezes.

excellent broadband connection.
i think these specs must be more than enough for the l2 siege .[i play skyrim on high ,sc2 on high aion on high,dead space 2 etc. and no problems[all with fps at 30+]]
yesterday i had like 4 fps .. i turned even all details on low ...
someone got any idea concerning the cause, or any solution to have at least 10-15 fps? which is actualyl playable..

it is possible to edit l2 files to increase its performance but.... not with frost on

 

trust me thats not enough for l2 siege.. maybe if you would change your hdd to ssd then maybe it would be alil bit better..
i got pretty much same.. just laptop , i5 430m 2.26 ghz, radeon hd 5650 ,4gb ram, ssd. and in aden i lag, in pve no.. in siege i bet i would lag like hell.

 

well i have no lags at all in aden so if u r getting lags in aden it has to be ur hardware imo

 

actually there was ss/skills lag to (i made the test while we were attacking the gates 2-3 hits without ss 1 with ss, i was moving in real time and when i had to use ud for example the skill was active after 20-30 seconds and in this time i was able to target 3-4 diff targets, move and normal hit so wasnt my pc or connection) . at least at giran siege (first siege) was a pain in the ***. but i'm sure this was "a bug send by ncsoft with last uptade and they will fix this at next maintenace" like they did last time... lol

gracia final: 100vs100 at start 10fps after 5min of pvp under 5fps
h5: same as gf
god: dunno numbers but tz + vv + the 3rd clan vs 1pt which is prolly under 100 on the screen and after 5min of pvp i barely could target cuz my fps went down under 10 (to make it clear i can have total full details that game offer or lowest w/o fps difrence)

cpu usage : 25% max
gpu : didnt heard cooler so under 40/50%

face it, engine of l2 is 10 years old and not supporting newst cpu (which is the most important for l2) and im sure everyone exprianced that l2 starting to lag after some period w/o reloging ofc after every mass pvp you have to relog to be able to play.

and to ppl crying that they have inet lags/spikes, its about peering so get the battleping or call your inet provider and tell him to talk with server provider and make the line fastest ;d

 

got no lags on 2nd siege. everything went smooth.

 

yeah there was lags on castle sieges , is just freezes and u get disconnect , for me same thing happens all the time only at night time i can play...;/ they shud do something about this is not enjoyable game with this all freezes all the time.

 

when will you understand that lags and low fps are 2 different things ?

during the sieges, lots of people had lags, like me. they couldn't move, they were watching other players moving or not moving, without being able to do anything...
i died, i went back to the village, and we tried to pvp outside the town. that was fine. but when we came back into the siege zone, we met other clans, and again, i couldn't move (and i wasn't alone).


so please, don't speak about hardware here, this is not the main topic ! we're discussing about lags.

 

that was the main problem of siege, at least the first one but it was not perma
there were moments i had no delay at all but sometimes lag spikes occured and all my actions were delayed for few seconds, after 1-2min it was fine again - happened many times this way during siege

 

i have a good pc and i had skill delay and ofc cant move, but my isp is a bit fail, but i think innova should buy some upgrades for the server or ncsoft should do some changes to the game. (yeah sure!)

 

yeah go buy a new graphics card to play a game with an engine of 2004 lol

they see new animation=buy a better pc epic just epic
