    ok you lot. here goes!

the problem everyone is having is due to "virtual memory", so it doesn't matter weather you have 2gb, 4gb or 8gb or ram in your system. virtual memory is a space on your hard drive that is used as extra memory. like someone has already mentioned in a previous post #18 (fighterboss) this should fix your problem depending on how much virtual memory your computer will let you access.

set your 'initial size (mb)' - to the recommended page file amount that is displayed on your virtual memory screen.
then set your 'maximum size (mb)' - to your space available amount also displayed on the virtual memory screen.

with regards to other things being mentioned, lineage 2 is a very memory heavy program, however it wont use over 2-3 gb even if you have more, so it switches to virtual instead. so in heavy built areas you are maxing your memory, then your virtual and crash!

i've also noticed that lineage 2 will only use a single core on your cpu, weather you have dual, x4, x6 it doesn't matter, lineage will use one of them. so if your looking to boost speed even more then overclock your cpu to give more ghz, or of course purchase one with a higher amount.

with regards to people saying "this doesn't happen on ncwest" this is not ncwest! this is innova. furthermore this is pts, not official release (until tomorrow). bugs, glitches and crashes should be a thing of the past as of tomorrow around 3-4pm gmt.

    mathew.

    hello,

remember that you need to have always few gb free on system partition and few gb free on partition where your lineage2 is installed.
if your operating system running out of ram, his using hdd space to make a virtual memory to support your ram with it.

when you have 4+gb in a system and you dont use some program that needs a lot of memory
    you dont need virtual memory

how so? last time i check virtual memory wasnt in data storage its just simulate ram
the only purpose of vm is for those who has 2gb or 3 in their system because if you have 6 8 12 gb of ram and you dont use something that will compile massive codes or video editing or photoshop vm will never be in use and will just sitting there eating bytes and watching porno

    hello,

i don't think you are able to inject this with frost security. if this is client issue, it should be fixed in very next updates.

wrong! lineage 2 will only use 2-3gb of system memory.. weather you have 4gb+ or not.. you have to remember that lineage 2 was built on a 32bit system and it to does not recognise the full 4gb+ as windows 32bit does not. i've tested this by going to a heavy area, and checking memory usage in task manager. it never goes above 3.10gb, but the virtual memory starts to increase.

as mentioned above, some applications are only running on 32bit still. so yes you do need virtual memory, maybe in the future you will not.

which is exactly the same as enabling >2gb support by cff explorer. that's funny since you can do a bit more with frost yet you can't do such a simple and usefull and harmless thing (crc check, i know), annoying a bit. in fact, it should be done by default by ncsoft ages ago. you think there's any change that innova will apply laa flag on their exec directly since it would solve that issue?

it's not innova's build (don't wait for changes from innova-side, it's rules violation).
laa flag must use nc during compilation...
after loading primary binary by system loader changing laa flag is nonsense...

yee... they made it for aion only =(

so, you're saying that they can't much such change on their own. that hurts then cause ncsoft had years to do that already since it's harmless and helps. maybe along with those performance fixes in next bigger update, but still, we need solution right now not after few months.

i meant that for something else, more nasty and ignored by frost right now.
