well i don't see what else you could blame beside your own system that runs the client. the game is indeed far from greatly optimized but beside this it all depends on our own system for now. :s
can pray the tauti update will improve the optimization quite a bit but i don't have my hopes up.

so, basically you guys are trying to say that laptop users can go just **** themselves?

seriously, actual game performance after god is not just even, comparing to the graphics.

simple in mass pvp lower the npc limit to half and you will lose half of the lag - thats how our healer does it but he lowers it to almost 0

i really hate when people say that. actually i didn't complain on the previous chronicles, it is god, when clien't performance went downhill. yeah, sure there was a lot of new stuff and skill effects, but as i said, i've been playing much prettier games with more **** going on the screen, and didn't encounter even half of the issues.

i dont even have that much fps lags, its totally playable on alt+p (on certain places even without alt+p and on maxed range).
if you wanna play l2 sieges on maxed settings you might aswell just go die.

problem is, with alt+p activated the vewing range is so tiny that that 1 guy you chased kills you instantly couse there were 20 of his friends behind him that you didnt see due to the low range.

that was a promo phrase. there is nothing in the tauti patch notes about improving client perfomance.

    ~1.5 gb for l2
    ~400mb firefox 10
    ~50-100mb some player
    total: ~3 gb thats all

of course 4 gb is enough for good pc

    i lol'ed.

if you use win 7 x64 you feel constant performance increase in l2 up till 16gb of ram.

l2 itself uses up to 3gb on x64 systems even though it is a 32 bit executable (was raised from ~2gb in one of the last client patches)
l2 on disk is 14.5gb - windows will cache all files of lineage 2 in ram as soon as l2 starts using them and enough unused memory is available.

i have a 8gb machine and i only have some lags right after logging in when seeing the first few skill effects as win7 right then starts caching the relevant files. after 20 mins of gameplay the only thing that causes fps drops on my machine is the gfx card (geforce 9800 gtx+ 512mb) and the loading of new map segments as they are stored in seperate files and thus not automatically cached.
