FAQ problems with the game

yes, it will run for longer, the wasted memory is moved to the hdd. 100 gb will last you a few days.

how about this: using procexp to find command line, then creating shortcut to lineageii.exe which is in frost folder, changing frost option from 7 to 1. i do that i run it and when he go to log in i am waiting to log in and nothing just waiting . . . i try to change acount but same it gonna log in but dont .

 

login problem..

i downloaded all, i done all good and i got play button. but when i click play, i agree on licence and after that i got lineageii crash that say :

ps. about daydreamer .. do u have any video card :d - coz it says that u dont have any .. thats why critical came from i think ..

well i played normaly c4 server so i am pretty sure i got 1..myb problem is i use xp..or duuno..im just hoping some1 had same problem and suxeded in solving problem

 

you guys do understand that insufficient virtual memory basically says that you don't have enough ram in your machine, right? we all know that l2 clients tend to leak memory a lot, but i never got "not enough virtual memory" error with my 8gb of ram :s

 

just read this topic if you want...many ppl got the same problem and for now they got a temporary fix, but still waiting for innova answer.

so? i wasn't implying that everyone that has less then 4gb has the error, but the error clearly states that you don't have enough system memory to run that process on your machine... that could depend on many factors, not only on actual size of your ram - like processes ran in background, too high graphical settings to your machine in the game(even audio settings are involved in some cases)... but the base of that error is still the same not enough ram to keep the process active.

i download l2 on school then i copy it too my computer (lineage2eu folder) :>. when i click "update" apear "downloading 0 из 0 " ;/... and shows agane "update" button. plz help i dont wanna download it agane. ^^

 

that thing with the faq is very good, but come on give us fix for the no video error ! not only temporary solutions please. the server goes live in 2 days and you guys still don't have one

 

virtual memory doesnt mean your ram, thats why it is virtual. its a place on your hdd for swap files, it can be adjusted anytime as long as you have storage space.

fyi it's a combination of both ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/virtual_memory ) and if you increase your virtual memory to solve such error as this, it's just a waste of time. virtual memory can be adjusted any time, but increasing it is only a temporary solution when your machine doesn't have enough ram(and not a very good one at that).

 

i was able to play with high details in official ru servers without virtual memory problems... to be honest without any problems. here i should lowered my settings (high -> low) and terrain range to average to fix virtual memory errors

p.s. 4gb ddr2 800mhz

 

yes, well, considering that most of the areas are suffering from a very high density of players, your system needs more resources to display them in full detail, it safe to assume that is the main reason for a performance change, assuming you played on russian servers after implementation of god, which had l2s graphics engine upgraded, what may also result in performance loss to some machines.

 

no video error finally solved ! just download the new lineage2.exe from the repair tool on the webpage.

 

guys maybe you don't have enough free space on your c: drive / drive where you have your windows installed? this can cause virtual memory errors.

as i can see most of the people who are having issues with "no video card" have or had ncwest client installed. maybe they interfere with each other?

 

to all those havin "no video" crash. got file option.ini edited and i've changed these:

and now game starts from play button without crashing. my problem is: game starts up ok, no lags, no crashes, no server selection window . i've forced game to character selection screen but no buttons are visible. blind click took me to character creation screen and no dialogs are visible. anybody got any idea what to do with it?
