Helios preliminary patch notes

Well stupid is that we maximalize our pdef/mdef/pvprezist. and we have only ruby/shap to increase dmg. Ok i agree topaz is too much OP cause its ignore everything and make fixed dmg even on undying will. but this +% pvp dmg its kinda nice.

 

It also has active skill to remove invul from target at lv 5..

 

Uhm... And Opal. Basically 2 jewels for each.

 

play tank and you will not have such problem, tank always garbage in oly and almost also out of oly

 

If they'd add amethyst, I'd reroll to ertheia

 

Tank was pretty much the best oly farmer since GoD up until the last update or so. I think it's had its fair share of being super OP and never losing

 

before IO was not bad in oly, but far of being a oly farmer, basically before GoD was good class for oly, after that just mid or garbage, depends of what update.

 

I think you are mixing it pre- and postGOD. PreGOd yes, tanks were one of strongest class losing to maybe duelist/GK/SH and healers/Hrp, and maybe sometimes to summoners and nukers with lucky fear land... but then everything started changing and we have the way it is now...
Few months ago with my tyrr maestro/eviscerator at lvl95 I was wining some 99+ tanks (With at least +6 R99 sets).. Oh did I mention that I had elegia set (not even full 60) and apo weapons (+4+300+2SA) Of course not by killing them but just by kiting 4 minutes out of 5 :/

The only hope I have is that this arrow resist in passives is not damn 5% or so.. but at least half of old arrow resist buff (40% ) https://l2wiki.com/Deflect_Arrow_-_Paladin - so I will not get 2-3 shotted by archers in oly even w/o 101 skill.

Not talking about wynns.. coz now tank has higher chance to get Dark amarantine stone from tarots then win sumoner, that is not a box with tw set... And after update it will be worse. But who cares, tanks basically had 0 chance to win them after Lindvior update anyway

 

PreGoD? No GoD tanks were beating EVERYONE in RU and NCWest. The only thing that MAYBE beat them was a ****** lucky dagger or summoner. And this is exactly how it was up until they introduced this new ertheia class.. So that's what, 3 years of GoD till then of beating everyone in olympiad

 

On post GoD, (just after it came, Tauti update and so on) tanks were unbeatable, i remember playing my tank being totally clueless on lvl 88 killing people of lvl 95 and so on.

Yes, it was gustavo, something like h6blu3t on game or smth like that, he had different characters, afaik m2s,menace2society, this bg stuff even tho he's br and i think i do miss one.

 

Wynn has always trashed tanks post-god, like very easily on every chornicle (at least until ertheia update), as long as you stack Mental resist as wynn, tanks cannot silence you. The matches were so one sided i felt pretty bad.

The reflect active /passive/HK reflect was nuts but didnt afect wynns so ye.

 

Normally I would agree except you are wrong here. For the first year and some change of GoD single target hate and aoe hate ever failed. No wynn could beat a tank who kept them perma hated/silenced/stunned. No Wynn beat any good tank until they fixed hate.

If they agro, u cubic( or cast strong will) and exile ur pet, tank doesnt do dmg, 9 seconds is more than enough to go from full cp+hp to half HP, after this u cast mass exile on pet. Smart wynn will never loose to tank wether it always lands or not.

Only thing u need to do is wait the tank cubic or bait them to use it then u counter after with what i just said, tank cannot kill u when pet is exiled.

Also mark of trick was 100% silence, u could not cast skills with this up.

 

Then in this case there are no smart summoners on any server because at this point in GoD tanks were beating everyone.

 

Well, i think that at early god everyone was kind of clueless since everything was new and so on u know.

 

GoD and beyond tank was godlike, it was very hard to lose to anything even if you played somewhat terrible.

I was happy to see that they nerfed them a bit though. Core recently (1 year ago or so) had some of the worst players I ever saw playing tank, and they were still winning simply because the class was easy mode with good gear.

I believe that this is pretty much the case.

 

You are right, indeed on the horde of wynns betwen god and glory days, youd find very hard to find an actual "fine" pvp wynn. while tanks were pretty straightforward( chain debuffs) and thats why in most match ups youd see tanks facerolling anything. On naia there was a wynn named esthahyrr from DH which was pretty good and imo was pretty ahead on what to do as wynn.
