Are you seriously this stupid? Guess you are. I play this lolgame since C3 on Teon. So don't come out and teach me how it works when you have no fuking clue about it.

In the past you could "ebay" items,yes ebay what? All items you could get with farm,like jewels or armor. You had no OE bonus on armors,not PVP set with op items (H5 pvp items were easy to get,farm olys/siege/fort,get fame,ggwp).Nowday if you want to farm some items (like Abudance,high level brooches) you need to pay (brooches can be bought but it would take years and LOTS of adena/luck,not sure if you can make abudance with IG items).
DVP used to be 'ebayer',indeed.He had top gear he could get even with IG ways (antharas valakas baium QA zaken,OEd draco and draconic set,was it like...+4 or +6? don't remember),but wait,am i wrong or he used to be in the 'top clan' back then?
Oh,and what about players buying toons level 100/101,or buying gear/adena with RL moneiz? That's not 'ebaying' too? Nah,guess not. People call it 'RMTers' now,which is like 'Ebayers',w/o ebay.

And about classic : as i said already : Teon C3. Enough or i've to make you a draw on how the game was back then? Oh right,classic got xp curve.

 

Off was so easy to farm baium that everyone had on teon and ofc everyone had oe weapon on mages everyone had antharas . Let me remind you that antharas costed 1k euro on eBay let me remind you baium 600 euro . This is your teon noob . Want more ? Set not giving bonuses but most of top players was with +6 set minimum on the time that I played teon I remember 1 guy had imperial crusader +9 item that you could never had . There are a lot a lot of this . About farming in this client it's almost the same as h5 or w/e client use ur brain and you can farm

 

It was not easy,but it was possible. Maybe you're not understanding the difference between "buy items you can farm in-game" with "buying exclusive items from Store". Set +6 back then was not making such a difference due to the bonus (few p.def bonus and...+2 evasion?),IC items +9? nice. How many players had +9 sets? I don't think a lot. Like weapons +10/15,how many players had S grade weapons +10/15 back in Interlude? mhh..10? no...maybe less. Nowdays with all the store items (stones and boosted enchants) it's easier to find players w/o +10 weapons.
When GOD patch came out,the store was not so 'breaking balancement' yet. I could kill players like Exeqtor & Narwin in olys. Try now.
They 'made' DEWR,making ur weapon safe to enchant ("safe",it fails,but enchant wont drop)...but,you know...+15 weapon is not op alone...so let's give a bonus to the weapons in OE with boosting SS/BSS.But...nah,not OP enough...let's do that blessed or PVP items got even HIGHER stats! But...you know...PVP items must be not easy to get,so let's...

Yes. L2 Store and all this '****ty' items broke the game. And if you think this can be compared to the old days,maybe YOU never played on official servers. Where for a good 70% of times "skills > gear". Used to PVP S grade with A grade,and i could win. In H5 you could get PVP items with just farm Fame points,'free for all'. Nowdays this game as began more and more L2Store based or 'Pay to win'.And if you think that L2 store is not 'breaking' game balance,is 'coz probably you are one of those who use it.

Use ur brain and you still farm. Yes. Kill epic tauti and drop 1 appearence,1 bewr and 1 rune stone. The only way to have a good income of adena would be farming open-field raids with 1 pt or alone. But you need gear. And you can't get such gears w/o wasting money on the store. And anyway this would take a lot of time to be done so...why farming items when you can buy items? ^^
