I'd like to know that too. I started yesterday, will stay for a while to check it out. If the sv is empty or only pve i'm out. Some ppl would sell their stuff, i won't ofc.

You can't actually farm by hand that amount of adena you need for decent pvp cuz most of the "top" pvpers are with +8-10 pvp sets and +10+++ pvp weapons, full boss jewels like b.valakas, b.antharas, lindvior etc. These are not cheap. There are smaller clans doing pvp too but to be honest normal pvp died years ago. L2store, ebayers, ppl who stopped playing ncwest botted everything there then sold adena moved here and bought everything, they just arrived with full equip bought in the black market. Try to be competitive with them. PVE is so so, sometimes hard to make a pt if you are not in a CP.
I don't think online number is more than 1k.

About retail, i quit when it went GoD. I started on the 3rd Euro server opening (Luna), had 1 year of major fun, a 1k worth full epic AW that was banned (whole server botted OFC and i was unlucky in a IP several char ban. I kept playing in friends chars, either farming oly or pvp events, then the next chronicle was GoD and we all quit after seeying the sh1tfail it was. Sad thing...

 

If u are European player then yes,its worth. Caused if u go to NA servers,there are different time zones,and maybe u loss siege events and other things. Also,i always see on Aden a lot of people. If u want people to play with,then yes,its worth. And another possitive point that have EU servers its that there are less bots or maybe noone,with my 3 chars lvled from 0 to 85 i dont face any bots,specially on Wall of Argos,that its usually find bots on NA servers. EU = Win.
