Tried doing this quest a couple of times. After getting inside the cave near the eye I'm getting always kicked. Tried going from behind, sideways it's all the same. Also from the NPC I receive an item that should protect me from the curse, but what actually happens is I get the curse then it's removed then I get it back over and over again. I don't think it should be this way ?
