Complaints about moderators

what? you see, friend, the issue here is your english - seriously, look at your sentence.

agreed, but give them time to prove their worth before making them moderators, not after... it just doesn't make any sense.

 

thats true, they probally have there reasons which we should respect and who knows it might work out great. if not they can analyse what went wrong and go from there.

 

as for the their mastery of english language, i know you might not find it so important because some of them who are "less gifted" will end up moderating in a regional forum... but still, i consider it in the best interest of the community for all moderators to speak english well so there are no "breaches" in communication. i might be overthinking it, feel free to correct me.

as for the trial period, great idea.

 

my only problem is that they have taken the job so seriously that they started to close threads or post in them without reason.. moderators are meant to take care of forum , not spamming in every thread ( that's what i see ) ..

btw.. too bad i'm a troll.. i could be a mod to show you how the job is gettin done!

let me get things straight for you guys. lineage 2 is made of two (2) parts: game and forum. both are very important in a healthy l2 community. there's nothing that can compare with the forum drama (real players will know what i mean). now, giving mod privilege to users who act like nazis and delete posts and threads will just annoy us and make us stop using this forum. this ain't a ****ing church nor a kinder-garden.

for mods who will keep deleting replies for so-called "bad words", i strongly suggest to move here: http://www.churchofchristdb.com/phpbb3/ where all is pink and wonderful, here you won't see bad words and forum trolls.

furthermore, if things continue like this, we can simply move away and create our own forums like blah (l2guru).

in the locking threads issue i can tell u that we were asked to specifically lock topics which are resolved and merge topics with similar posts. same thing goes for flamming akz. flamming is part of the game all know that but there were specific instructions gives to us.

 

exactly what i'm saying. but making our own forums won't help... i mean there's going to be a lot of "fanforums" anyway, but the game must have a healthy official forum as well, and that's not in the prospect if this is going to keep up.

quoting each other and closing unanswered topics is not what i expect from a moderator.
basic moderator skills is a must as well as good knowledge of english (in understanding and writing).

the mod is here to keep the forum clean. handle the spam, trolling, flaming
the mod should not act like he is a customer support or "i know all the answers" person.
i do not expect any answer at all from a mod but instead let the other community members / players respond to my topics.

right now innova is coming across as a little bit amateurish/priv server like :/

 

the fact is, that every mod should be tested in english skills. cause for real, like 50% of them are writing in something between english and they native language, a hybrid i dont like and mostly i hate to read....

not to mention, they are trying to be over-active, triple or quadra answers for one topic or question. come on ! when one mod answered the quesiton you dont have to write "(quote other mod here) he is right "

edit : sadly when i look closely, a lot of mods are polish... i dont know their age, but i am assuming they are not too old...

 

i would like to be a mod but then forum will be almost empty.

first of all they all should have some decent english, seriously i won't even read whatever a guy wants to say when he's barely able to make a proper sentence. no offense. also there's way too many mods in my opinion, what's the point ? if you wan't regional mods for future language sections just pick them for such thing not for the whole forum.

in addition a mod isn't supposed to go and hunt every single post out there to close it or edit everything they see but to keep some basic rules and punish crazy flamers like me time to time.

give them some time to work and we will see after week or two how they are handling things.
most of complains are made by personal causes propably from other servers for example toward splicho ... what happened he killed u on other server ? sad...

yes! and if there are complains for the mod after a first day of their "work", something is terribly wrong...
