I play in both, and iam not here to make propaganda just trying to force a stubborn community to wake up, cos the 300 ppl number soon ll drop even more, and the reasons re many!

 

You forgot that you're playing on a Russian server more or less and that RUOFF is doing better than Core, so I guess you're just jumping the meme-wagon of kids nowadays.

One of the problems that our server is doing not as good as others is because we don't have Russians, who generally are more organized, more competitive and less individual and thus less "I am a special snowflake" players. Believe it or not - such players are better suited for games like L2 and help to keep competition alive longer.

Yes NCSoft made plenty mistakes with L2, but they've done those with all of their games at one point or another, you simply can't expect for such an old game by standards of today to attract new players, while old and/or hardcore players are looking more for either nostalgia or a place that has at least some degree of quality to their players. Not to even talk that this game isn't suitable for new players (talking generation gaps and different interests).

In short, everyone of us are getting a short-end of the stick, because we either can: Learn Russian; learn Korean; play with bots, scripts and huehue (West); or play with hands and 70% of community not knowing what their char does (Core).

And trust me the "sky is falling" discussion every week doesn't help anyone - it scares away new players, old players, returning players and makes all of you stick to your negatives.

 

Fyi server is won atm by a clan that consists mostly of players that previously played on ncwest...

 

This game is going to die since C5 if I remember properly, yet still, game keep having updates, next ones to come going back a little bit more to what it used to be a good l2 (more open farm, less instances), and how much game will be alive it's pretty simple answer, the day hosting servers / updates / paying salaries is higher than the profit they make out of it, they will stop giving us updates, but from what I know we're far from that point.

@St0ne There are players playing on Core atm that are good players, but average Core player is way worse than average NCWest player, people here don't know how their chars are working, and most of them have non-competitive mentallity at all. I have never seen in the past in any other server so many pve clans in a pvp-oriented game in example. NCWest could be full of scripters back then when a lot of ppl were playing, but at least they wanted to play in order to win and make mass pvps daily. Just as an example that I find quite a lot latelly, for Core healers, leading the party in pvp goes to: your purge, my purge, job done, because what for to call for the other skills we can use? I simply wish there was an english patch to play on Airin, it would be insanely fun playing with 4k daily players

Dunno if happened in the last few months, but it definitely happened. And that's not a L2Store feature (not speaking about the name change, obviously...)
