Bingo. They said they'll open it at this dead hour to fix the potential mistakes before prime time which should be several hours from now.
1k now and 200 after the initial flood realizes that, again, they don't stand a chance because they don't have time+money to keep up and be star of the server and move on to next server where "this time i will make it!!"
Still private servers got new players incoming only in first week then less and less I think here new players can join first year
Who do u think joined the server in the first place Yeah sure people can join, but many will leave once Tarots etc. are intrdct. (50% ?)
Probably it has at the moment close to 3-3.5k in peak times, but for me for a new server it's too low, it's too strange that new server that are usually full is getting low traffict when you're on server selection screen instead of mid or even heavy
It was to be expected with a pretty much non-existent notice of server launch Will see after 1st heroes/tarots 1.5k would be sufficient in the long term, if it would be possible to keep that online.
It's not about the amount of people imo, it's about the amount and quality of pvp, if you can make daily mass pvp's of 100 vs 100 in top clans and then pvps every now and then in mid/low clans even if the server gets 500-1k active people daily, you would be in good situation. But if you have 2-3k on peak times and can't find any kind of pvp anywhere on the map, just people doing instances your server is kind of dead
It really makes you wonder how does someone become an expert on analyzing the server health in accordance to the lack of 100 vs 100 PvPs third day after start. But then again I'm not a troll so I may be missing something.
I didn't mean it has to happen on third day, I meant on the long term when all this hyped people will quit and server population will be more or less stable, like after 6-12 months , at the start the amount of people there are for past 3 days it's good enough I have to say
Global server heavy on log in screen in 2017 ? Are you kidding ? Servers are way better and people are less than 4k, at privates you get heavy becouse of wooden PCs
Any admin of random private servers can make the heavy or light threshold change to increase the perception of big activity , you shouldnt really take that into account. And it is probably wiser to not act as if doomsday is upon us a few days after the server opened. Even if the new server died it would take quite some time for that to happen, possibly from months to years.
Fake server traffic is just a tip of the iceberg, most private servers these days use a) fake online counters, b) bots in starting towns and locations to show fake activity, c) hiring clans to play for first 2 weeks, d) buying votes in topsites, e) sharing profits with RMT sellers etc. just to gather donations during first month to close the server after 1 month. That's what makes playing on offi so good, even if the online was bad you can count on not having to look for a new server after a year.
