Character will not be deleted after live?

hi, i read character wont be deleted tommorow, would be ok for me but i took my name and tryed a char now i noticed i would prefer to play a other class with this name und have the char on deletion.... this takes about 7 days! and server comes on tommorow is it possible that you guys can instaned delete chars who on delete list are? just for the restart?

i know the announcement was a bit confusing but it wouldn't hurt to use your goddamn common sense.

server will be wiped tomorrow.

live will start fresh. and there will be no wipe after live.

you will have your change to play whatever you want and pick a new name on live, since the beta data and chars will be wiped. the announcement, however confusing it might have been worded, was referring to the "live" server not being wiped. so beta => wipe . then live => no more wipe forever.

that's what they meant.

 

stop spam nonsense. this msg is not for open beta server, but for new server, which will be opened on 7. no wipe there.

 

pts dont need a wipe. it will just be deletet

 

actually they will wipe the database, not delete the "machine" if you want to go into specifics

 

hello i have to go through it all over again .. so what the innova team means by "there will be no wipe there" wich scared a lot of ppl is that. the real server wich we are gonna play on its a different one , not the same as the pts wich you all people are playing right now , so this pts server files will be deleted and we will all play on a new server wich obviously dont need any wipe ( since its new ) . common sence

 

well... the russian pts has not been wiped since the obt launch there (september, 27th).

either way, people need to understand that the database from pts/beta will not have its contents ported over to live, whether or not they chose to wipe the pts, it is their choice. though the official announcement stated "on the 7th of december you will see how does it feel..live! and no wipe there" , sort of implying that there will be wipe of the database of the pts.

it's not really important anyway.

the announcement was badly worded and tends to confuse people.

all they need to understand is when the server goes live, everyone will be starting from zero.

 

well most likely they will delete the pts database and they will launch it as a live server no room for pts and a live server now

it is no problem to delete all tables and let charkter table untouched (that means char name/race not lvl for slow ones) :/ i w8 for offi statment until then /whocares what ppl like simox/spurga etc says

beta is on pts server <public test server> it will be wiped sooner or later.
normal live server will launch at 7th and there will be no wipe.

for information: pts server was closed and removed, live server was launched and there was no wipe as it was a fresh clean server.
