Even with the "Nerfed" version on Tarots (5 EOD/5 GE max per game) at the new russian server ( Hatos), people already have ULTIMATE SET(yes, not even dark, but ULTIMATE)way before 1 month of server. The top parties will reach 105 over the next week ( they started double exp on the server on may 10th) but the population keeps increasing. Why? Because the prices are fair. Everyone has the same base salary ( it is the same country) and the items have the price adjusted to their currency. That way, people don't care about any of these things i just said, they WILL get their levels and their items in time. On European servers that doesn't apply. Multiple countries with huge differences on salary + overprices items compared to russian ones makes those "private server players" wonder why would the spend a month's salary ( lets say 500 euros in Portugal, for example) and not even buy a starting level 6 jewel ( ruby/sapphire 6) instead of spending 100~200 on a private server and playing like a king ( allegedly amongs a bigger population of players)
So ye lets lower the prices and rename all epics and actaully all items accordingly since the original source of them isnt the main source anymore maybe countires that are using euro bills, germany caster level 2 seems about right. Cant belive you are suggesting that flood server with items from the "sky" is the way to go. And saying that jewels 6 is starting jewel which would take probably years to get it from game itself... Its a ******* fresh start server maintain it like a fresh start not 5 years dead body, put cap on this ************* jewels like it was before(max level 4 than after few months 5 etc), adjust tarot to not make more dragon kills in a minutes after release than last 3 months by playing. And online on this fresh start ru is droping last 3 days even its weekend, probably gonna die in few months like all eu/ru p2w innova servers and going to be merged to the old ones.
I guess Innova already calculated this. I think they got more benefits if server last not that long and you have full L2store where can buy items which destroy server even faster. For me as for a player it would be a dream to have new server with very limited L2store but this will not produce as much money as they want and after all Innova is business company who want to earn money.
The problem is with the current chronicle not playerbase since half the features are l2store based with the single goal the companies to make money, there fore people who are not spending real money have no chance since there are not many options to farm and you for the existing ones you need to already have gear that enables you to do so
The real problem is that NCSoft got a taste of the real profit with the "free to play" model, and they wouldn't EVER revert to a softer "Pay to win" model in any way. Take NCWest, for example: They didn't even make Classic server because they KNEW that would mess up their normal servers and wouldn't bring a pint of the profit they get with it.
First of all it all comes from korea others just take copy paste with little ajustments secondly what i ment is that latest chronicles are not desingted for fresh servers like it used to be
True, you can get levels but no gear and after a point you can't even PvE with undergeared toons, not to mention good farming spots are very limited. So someone needs to buy L2 Store and put items for sale, the problem is these people are getting fewer and fewer, I wonder why.
On Russian they were farming with paulinas in Atelia ( mage party) and killing all raids also in paulina( therefore farming r/r95 items). Yes, you get level faster, compared to the way things were before, so you will need gear faster, but even so it is possible to keep up on a fresh server, specially if the drop rate on basic stuff is not THAT nerfed ( istina/octavis jewels,baylor/balok & tauti). The REAL problem with Salvation and after is the clan System....that will make almost impossible to level up clans
You are talking about this party https://www.twitch.tv/ih8wtf which also sells powerlevel and farms epics with clan. Their setup is 4 kamael STS, with old passive skills, 1 healer 1 tank 1 iss(+box iss for pom). They are farming all day long and made pretty fast PvE casters and AQ soul, with stones and blessings that came from Tarots BTW. With paulina they were pretty much rip/res on 101, now on 104 with better gear and BR from the event they are relaxed. It's possible to do all that, but you can't expect everyone to be that hardcore and play with the same setup. Also, Atelia has one good spot at SH1 and a less good one at SH2 and they got either of them almost always. Have in mind those people endure the difficulty and frustration of the early PvE because they know gear and levels will come fast. Edit: R/R95/R99/istina/octavis jewels,baylor/balok & tauti is like pre Infinite Odyssey content, now the game requires so much more.
Well, they are not the only ones doing this, there are at least 10 parties that were doing the same thing in atelia, but on smaller spots, easier to manage. This party in particular was farming on the bigger spots ( a1 by the small hill/a2 by geork). Of course you have to take into consideration that not every party is going to level up as fast as this party, and not as fast as they leved on this new russian server, that had cakes (they basically had vitality 24/7). Those guys were 95 on day one, exping in Fairy settlement with cakes. The "normal" would be taking a whole week to get to 95, therefore getting more adena and maybe some bit of items. The "normal" path would be fairy>soulharbor>blazing swamp>atelia, and in between you would get some adena and items ( hello full drops from mobs on those lower areas, where are you?). BUt...of course people wanna start a new server and be 105 in 1 month
People get frustrated because the game is too expensive and even on a new server they are starting to get one-shotted pretty early, lvl difference contributes to that too. Don't forget you have to PvP for good farm spots.
Well..Lineage 2 IS a grinding game. Even on classic, for example, where the game can be played without that much impact from money, if people buy full exp boosts and bot/drive 24/7,they will get more level/adena and gear than you. It is all a matter of people understanding that you need some amount of time to get to the point they want. It makes no sense and it is not fair to want to be level 105 in one month, or to have a dark set +10 after 3 months of playing. Of course on the "Normal" version of the game you can take EXTREME shortcuts to get level and gear faster, but you are still playing a game that has a model that thinks you should need at least 1 year to get 105/105 with "reasonable" gear.
I understand all that and agree, what I'm saying is grinding here isn't rewarding unlike in Classic, plus the L2 Store content is too expensive and game breaking.
Im talking about the avarage player, top pts will always be top no matter what but the current chronicle offers nothing for the avarage player, no drops no spoil, low adena, while classic is another story, but maybe you are right a newserver with no l2store could be fun but pointless to talk about it since it will never happen
There is a difference between hardcore grinding with exp l2store (exp is capping) and current l2store in core. If you think a hardcore grinder can keep up with a donor, then think twice lol The HUGE discrepancy is what makes it impossible.
