You were not promised anything, the promo page is not a technical description, this is a game, you're not buying an industrial machine with specifications here. Get real...

So I real repeat myself again, cuz you missed those points, on purpose or not, so don't turn the coin around :

"1) You put your char afk macro, and come back the day after : 0 exp farmed. One party came on your spot and OS all mobs before you touch them.
Will you blame again the advertisment because you didn't exp ? No pk here, but result is exactly the same."
Conclusion : your problem is not the PK, but that ppl are carebears and would like to play alone. Small hint, l2 is supposed to be a "MMO"

Again, same conclusion as above, carebear situation. That's not a solution. You removed the "free" but conveniently kept the "safe". Go play some RPG if you want to be safe... This is what you miss : You're not supposed to be safe in L2, ever. This is a game with frictions and tension between players.

Again as well :
Your freedom stops where the others' begin. You're free to exp afk, I'm free to steal your mobs or PK you if I want (I'm not PKing, I find it lame, so don't jump on that, ty )

And yet again :
You have all the tools to exp afk, and they work well. So you got what was announced. From buffs, to targets, to consumables, to skill spam. It works... If you tell me all your exp was gained live, you would be a big lier

Basically all you are saying is "I can't get what I want". The PK is what triggers you, but it's not the cause of your problem. As I said, you could have 0 gains without any PK involved, and logically should cry the same way.
Put in perspective :
"Mom, mom, QQ QQ QQ my friend has a bigger lollypop than me that's unfair, you told me I was the best in the world !"
"Innova, Innova, QQ QQ QQ Requiem has a bigger level than me it's unfair, he PK's me while you told me I could exp afk !"
That's why I'm talking about spoiled kid BEHAVIOUR. Behaviour is the key word here. If you feel offended, that's on you, I'm not insulting you. I'm just making a statement. Again, learn to read what I wrote, not half the words, thanks.

 

I can see from all the caps, bolding and large print I'm upsetting you. I don't mean to. I'm not saying I can't get what I want. I'm saying we didn't get what we were promised. You obviously don't like what we were promised and you are happy we didn't get it, but you cannot deny that we did not get it.

I will tell you truthfully that all my experience gained through 17 years of playing this game before Essence was gain live. Not so in Essence of course. As I acknowledged, on Blue recently (and, by the way, on the lower levels of Red) it is possible to gain exp while AFK.

You assert in bold that we are not supposed to be safe in L2 ever. Why not? Who determines this? Why are cities safe zones? Why did they create instances where you play solo or with a party, safe from PKers? Why PI, safe from PKers? Why auto-hunt at all? Sure, you should never be safe from mobs when out of city. You should never be safe from PKing when at war, at sieges, in oly, etc.

Finally, you are right that it is possible to have zero gains without PK. In fact, "training" people used to be a routine thing. But that is not the problem we have here, nor is it as easy to do successfully as the simple PK that is out of control here and ruined Red.

At least we agree that Pking is lame. It's a shame Innova encourages it.

 

You can't see anything regarding bolds mate, why would I be upset ? At the end of the day, I do exp, I'm not the one complaining about PK and advertisement. Focus more about what I wrote instead of building theories
I wrote same stuff 2, maybe 3 times now, and you failed to admit, so I highlighted for you the key points, to help you : this is pedagogy, not being upset.

That said : I'll try one last time to illustrate for you :
You buy a car, technical spec : max speed 280 km/h. You go out with your new car, 200km/h : police stops you for speeding and seize your car. You go back to the seller and ask for : 1) punish the police for preventing you to get to 280, or 2) refund cuz the car can't go to 280.
Now the perspective with same wording :
You play L2 Essence, auto exp while sleeping. You go out with your new char, launch macro for 1h. Requiem stops you cuz he can and kills you char. You come to Innova forum and ask : 1) punish Requiem for preventing you to exp, or 2) refund cuz you char can't exp afk all night.

I find first case ridiculous, and you should as well. Second case is exactly the same concept, so should be as much ridiculous. But for some wrong reason, you take it seriously.

Again : auto farm works perfectly, as advertised. You got what you were told. You're focusing on the PK, while it's not the reason of your frustration. You're frustrated because you don't get the full cake... Once again, I'm not defending the PK.

Last thing, and friendly reminder : you're buying the car, it's your property. But you're not buying the game, nor a service. You're buying the rights to connect to their servers. That's a huuuuge difference and often a misconception.

Hello, guys! I've noticed there is also a vigorous debate about PK. Unfortunately, some of you forgot about the forum rules and made messages too personal. I have to remind you that we're not insulting people here.

The PK system has always been an intrinsic part of Lineage 2. An ability to kill a character is what distinguishes L2 from other games. A player can fight not only against a different race or in a certain arena in Lineage 2.
There is also a category of players who unite in "Red" clans and play the role of bad guys. It's not prohibited by the game rules.

What you can do if someone kills you all the time?
If you are a newcomer 69 lvl and below, you can ask Gatekeepers and get "Blessing of Protection".
You can level up in instance zones where a character cannot attack you during hunting. For example, Primeval Isle.
Change locations. Try to find nooks for leveling up where no one from the "red" side finds you. For example, there's plenty of rooms on the Devil's Isle.
Join a major clan and fight back PK-characters together with clan members. There are recruitment sections on the forum: Red and Blue.
At least, keep an eye on your char and fight back an abuser in time. Or flee.
Yes, there is an auto-hunt function in L2 Essence but it is just an additional tool for leveling up. Elmoreden is extremely dangerous and violent. Look around!

Okay, let me clarify one moment. Moderators or the volunteer team are not Innova staff. They are active players (exactly the same as you) who have additional tasks on the forum or other social networks. They are not obliged to pass information between the L2 Team and customers.
