High Wizard (insecurities)

    Dears,

    This is my first experience playing renewal. My main was always a pre-renewal high wizard.

    I've tried to find guides for renewal high wizards out there, but most of them treat the HW more of a stepping stone towards Warlock and tailor their guides and builds towards that.

    Other than that, I see mostly pre-renewal guides for pure HW. I don't know if I should already consider anything regarding Warlocks at this stage of the game.

    And since I have little knowledge about all the changes that came with renewal, I also don't know if my standard HW builds make any sense, or if there is something better with all the new gear/sets that I should be going for.

    So before I write down in much length how I would do it and you guys tear it apart - can you guide me to some article / general guide for a renewal HW that is legit for our game stage and that I can check out first?

    This is a PvM/MVP focused build as I would normally use it. I go for all elements, but only really max out what is needed, so SG10, NV, WB, HD... It basically matches what 99porings also suggests.

    It would go with 99 Int, 99 Dex, 25 Vit.

    That's the weirdest build I've ever seen, both for pre- and post-Renewal :Roflmao:
    I would rather max JT. Then max either MS or LoD. Also isn't IW 1 disappearing way to fast to be usefull? But Soul Drain 10 is nice considering Wlk. And maybe you should consider planning ahead for 3rd Cls, since I'm not sure if there will be a (free) Skill&Stat reset, like on the previous euRO I played on.

    Yea it's a bit weird alright but the idea is that your main attacks are SG, HV, WB or NV depending on the situation, but if there is a second Wiz with SG you have either LOV or MS available to throw it in since SG doesn't stack. Also, your gameplay entirely without FB / FW etc. is something super unusual for me. I'd need to relearn the class from scratch to even level with that.

    Incewall 1 is needed for Ganban

    But from there on, I have no idea how to proceed with Warlock.

    Ok, pals.
    Here's a hint for your HWs
    Your main DD skills in PVM are GF and NV. SG for Muspelheim.
    You're useless on MVP if there any true DD class opposing.
