Everything. They won't introduce a limited-time event that gives such a boost forever. So after the event the hats are purely decorative. And maybe if it comes back one day they will have the effects again. But that's not something that I would expect. So yeah, after August 4, that's just decorative hat.
yeah, the hats are probably not worth the trouble, but the potions are ok, and I made some levels during the event hunting, so it was worth the time spent in my case, even though the 200 Penomenas were gruesome. P.S. I didn't do the 5000 Roda Frogs because the headgear is useless and takes so many hours I'd rather spend hunting Thara frogs and hope for a card drop...
Now you say it like that it makes a lot more sense not to farm the 5000 roda frogs... However I agree, the potions seem awesome, and will help leveling *a lot* (in my case, I need the +15 flee for dark priest I think, also the 40% heal pots). The hats seem more like "bonuses" that make some XP / farm place a little more worth it, and also it's a nice gift in addition to the potions.
Just finished all the hunts, except for the achievement "Champions of champions". Which seems to be bugged ? My last monster to kill is Swift Shellfish. Swift Shellfish is located, according to navi info, in hugel fields. Which aren't implemented yet. So this event is basically impossible to finish ? If so that's really sad, adding an event not even yet fit for the current state of the server :s
