Aria-to-Core transfer: questions and comments

can you not tell us how many names we are talking about here ??? is there even a name problem really ?

maybe a way to check on the website if that name is in use on that server? before people go and change a name what's not needed.

but how about a name changing weekend and allow people to login and change? but reserve names from both servers. so say my name is threads then that name is reserved but i could change it to another, say trey and then that name becomes reserved also..

i bet there are people on both servers which if given a choice would change their names.

i don't have a problem changing my name, i am only happy that something has been done.

i have the same question what turinturambar had.what about inventory,adena and so on?

 

well ... here are some questions:

1) a clan will be transfered when the leader of the clan will be transfered?
2) clan's wh will be transfered too or we have to empty the wh before the transfer?
3) what will happens if a transfered clan from aria has the same name with one that already exist on core?
... and ...
4) do i have to start to delete spare chars now or i will have the option to instantly delete a char (at core) during the char(s) transfer? ... i have more than 7 chars in my account at both servers.

 

for your 4th question i think u should delete now. you should have in total 7 chars in both servers

 

so your way to reduce the name problem would be to create more duplicated names? lol i think my way was better

 

when you want to be sure, create your name on core to see if its free, if yes, delete it 7-8 days before transfer to set it free again. deleting a char takes a week, so the name will be blocked during that time.

yeah lol, create mass createshions of accounts, some won't be removed in time, some will keep the char in hope to keep their name, some will just go inactive and most will forget. also as there is no set date how can you be sure you can remove it at all?

for god sake i think my suggestion is sound.. lock the names down, add a name checker and a chance to change your name. i don't see why you have to be so smart about it.

there was also a mail out to all people registered with the same information on the same day.

30 days from that date is more then enough notice for deleting excess chars from your accounts to make room for you aria chars

and our items? what happens if we have full items in our wh?. what happen with the limit of maximum items that can be stored?

and another question...

can all aria's player change his name... ? and how can we do it? will be ramdom reasigned or we can change it by item/npc/petition?

yes now there is a set date 3 days after which was posted. i was correct.

what if i have 200 items in cwh, how the hell will they all transfer to my personal wh which is already full
