Kamael 4th classes - why would you play kamael at all?

i have a feeling kamael awakenings will be the worst by far.
low hp warriors with no real advantage in str or dex,
enchanter and nuker with low int wit and men / meh str dex con (are inspectors/judicators considered fighters or mages for the new stat system?)
archers... well. no idea, might still be good. at least they get an actual crossbow rather than being unified into bows.

the original question is answered; instead of kamaels original stats which were pretty weak somewhere in between caster and fighter types they now have standardized fighter/mage stats making them both more viable pre-85 as well as after.

from that page it looks like kamael have come a long way from their trash stats.

thats lots more than double their old stats.
didnt know that.
so, might be working well on 4th after all, and probably better in 1-85 than before as well.

well, a mage kamael does have one big advantage over feoh wizards awakened from the rest of races.
but he can't exchange one of his pre-awakening skills, that is expert casting which affects skill reuse and casting speed.
trust me, you do feel the difference.

 

since god, kamael do not have anymore low hp and cp compared to other races.
and also not all skills is lost when awakened. for example, as vivinia said, one of those skills is exper casting.

 

dont they also have a barrier kind of skill?

 

correct me if i'm wrong(haven't played for 3 years so don't know that much any more), but aren't kamael tyrr warriors only ones with rush impact which is without re-use timer and soul roar which adds 15% to hp and cp?

 

yes your right.
theres no big hp different between those races. just 500 +-
str is 88 at all human orc and kama just the con is different like dex. orc more con lower dex kama more dex lower con human is in the middle.

i have read somewhere that soulhouds evolving into feoh wizard exchange their stats for mage stats, something very similar to the sph actually (-3 int +1 wit) is it true ?
in this post you say that kamael keep some skills from soul hound, expecially expert casting, do they have both the expert casting and superior weapon mastery (+cast spd), superior quick recycle and such ?
do they keep warp for female kamael too ?

if the answer to these 3 questions are yes, that sounds quite powerful

so 15% less matk (7% less dps) and less chance at debuffs, which awakened classes seem to be highly resistant from what i've read
but 5% more cspd (5% more dps)

as for racial bonuses we have :
kamael : dark atk/resist silence+fear resist +20 ; debuff resist for 20 sec ; 5% clarity ; 1% pvp dmg ; final form (as caster ? o.o)
sph : wind atk / resist ; +1int at night ; cleanse and 5 sec on can't be targetted ; 1% vr ; crits dmg +200
sps : water atk/resist ; +10 mcrit rate ; ultimate evasion

 

you can keep expert casting if you wish but you can't have the awakened skill because for superior weapon mastery you have to exchange the following skills:
- rapier mastery
- abyssal power
- expert casting
- skill mastery


personally, i am very dissappointed with having to give up soul of pain which is uncomparably better than any of the other wizards' nuking spells, if only for the cancel target effect. but since you will loose all the enchants post-awakening and the fact that the skill level will cause it to most likely fail alot on awakened characters, not to mention target cancel will not land nearly as often as required to be mentioned, you will have to exchange the skill for elemental spike just like all the other wizards.

also steal divinity will have to be exchanged for ignore divinity which at maximum level can only steal a maximum of 2 buffs, and still can be resisted. it makes no sense to make this exchange but because of the fact that 2nd/3rd class debuffs will not land on awakened characters you will have to go ahead with the change. at least other wizards have to give up cancellation for the same skill also, if you can call that a bonus for soulhound.

 

they are in fact better then most other races as a wizard (except maybe des). painkiller skill gives nice advantage in oly, steal divinity skill is usable in open pvp (though it only removes old buffs, the only one old buff always present is noble buff, remove noble, kill opponent, make one member of opposing party practically useless untill rebuff). 82/78 int/wit is pretty swell too. racial skills are **** but it`s the same story for most of the racial skills..

 

what about keeping a rapier with expert casting,rapier mastery,and a pride of kamael enchant in matt??
+ 30 pride give + 40% matt
