here i was, running from bot infested heaven called nc west, finally hoping to play a game without bots and rmmt, just to hit a brickwall called frost and it's developers with attitude "let's just block everything". i've lost two days trying to find out why my x6 a4tech mouse buttons aren't working. they worked fine on ncbotsotf, hell, they even worked fine in wow (seems blizzard warden is not bothering with it) but not here. maybe this is a sign that i should go back to wow...

what makes you think they will cooperate with you ? you are practically nothing, a speck of dust. you are just making an excuse for your laziness and incompetence.

calm down... logitech still have at catalogue mices like g9x that don't use setpoint, but logitech gaming panel (the same as gxx keyboards) to work... and still work fine with frost just because there isn't a driver emulation for binding.

wanna be sure that your mice work with macros? simply check if them work with lgp or have an internal memory to store binding profiles.

just to remember... also gameguard had compatibility issues like these, but it was worse: also gxx (or similar from different brands) stuff could not work... even on ncsoft servers...
calm down, people is working for you...

if you want to play at the latest rpg with a '80s pc it has its own requirements, if you don't satisfy them you can't play because it's useless to write to sh asking them to optimize their game for your pc, they will respond: "upgrade your pc".
macros are an optional function on any game, it's not obvious that they should work with any game you play but is obvious that you can't ask ppl to change game features just to let to work your specific mouse model.
the smartest thing that you can do is to buy since the beginning a mouse with a suite that you know that is compatible with the most of the games actually played... i just told you a mouse model that is 100% guaranteed to work here and almost on the most of actual games (i have it, too and can guarantee for it)...

sorry to disappoint you, but in order to get those additional buttons working, you need a piece of hardware with internal memory. it wont work any other way.
