    yumi was outside in her backyard on this glorious morning. the sun was cheerily shining over the cloudless bright blue sky, the air was warm, but the cool wind reminded of autumn. yumi had awoken very early and had been working on something for some time now. her forehead glistened with sweat. in front of her there was an assortment of weapons that she had been enchanting all morning. she was panting as if she had run quite a distance. she was an enthusiastic worker. always had been, no matter what the task was. so was this time when she set her mind to conducting and experiment on enchanting. she was determined to find out and compare chances, that's what this was about.

    yumi glanced around: the land all around her was sunlit and showed no sign of any possible visitors whatsoever on the horizon. she smiled and closed her eyes, letting the wind caress her cheeks reddened with blush caused by her hard work.

    she stood there for a while like that, then resolutely opened her eyes and said to herself:"alright, here we go again..." and she went on with her enchantments.

    i think i heard this myth a thousand times. it says that one has better chances of successful enchantment and the chances of item destruction are minimal if the enchantment is performed after relogin. in order to see if the myth holds true i decided to carry out two tests. in the first test i enchanted 1,000 [IMG]amaranthine throwers [focus] until they broke without relogin, thus revealing the success rate for enchantment in normal conditions. in the second test i enchanted 100 [IMG] amaranthine throwers [focus], with relogin before each enchantment. then i compared the results to see if the enchantment success rate has increased.

    enchantment in normal conditions

    so, as i said, the test involved enchanting 1000 [IMG]amaranthine throwers [focus], which required 5003 [IMG] scrolls: enchant weapon (r-grade) (out of which 3000 were used for safe enchantment up to +3). as a result 525 items were enchanted by +4, 266 were enchanted by +5, 145 by +6, 46 by +7, 15 by +8, 4 by +9 and only 2 by +10. to have a clearer picture of how many weapons were enchanted, i made the following diagram:

    [IMG]

    {tbody}{tr}{/tr}{/tbody}
    i also put the data in a table:

    {tbody}{tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tbody}
    enchantmentchance+3 - +452,5%+3 -+526,6%+3 - +614,5%+3 - +74,6%+3 - +81,5%+3 - +90,4%+3 - +100,2%
    and here is the success rate for each enchantment stage:

    {tbody}{tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tbody}
    stagechance+3 - +452,5%+4 - +550,7%+5 - +654,5%+6 - +731,7%+7 - +832,6%+8 - +926,7%+9 - +1050%

    enchantment with relogin

    in the next stage of the test i tried to enchant 100 [IMG]amaranthine throwers [focus] with relogin before each enchantment, which required 486 [IMG] scrolls: enchant weapon (r-grade) (out of which 300 were used for safe enchantment up to +3). as a result 48 throwers were enchanted by +4, 23 by +5, 11 by +6, 3 by +7 and 1 by +8. let us compare how the success rate differed depending on the enchantment level:

    {tbody}{tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tr}{/tbody}
    stagechance without reloginchance with relogin+3 - +452,5%48%+4 - +550,7%47,9%+5 - +654,5%47,8%+6 - +731,7%27,2%+7 - +826,7%33,3%

    judging from the table we can see that relogin does not lead to any significant increase in success rates - the chances are comparable.

    my conclusion is obvious: the myth has been dispelled – the chances of successful enchantment with and without relogin are practically the same.

    thank you for bringing up this issue. so far, we have been posting experiments of our own, which we conducted beforehand. we are planning to continue sharing our results since we have a lot in store for you. we also got excited by players' ideas and are currently preparing some new experiments based on them. they are coming up very soon!
    we are really happy our tests have provoked so much enthusiasm, so keep being active. your requests are always welcome!
