Frost causes graphics problems

hi friends,

i am getting the following error if starting the game through the website:

when i start it by double-clicking l2.exe.exe, the graphics engine starts but closes immediately because of login failure (session data not passed to l2 through the website).

sapphire radeon hd 3650 512mb ddr2 (don't trust the driver description, she's wrong).
windows 8 pro x64

i have managed to start the game only once, but after i decided to buy something from the store and i am trying to login to the game to check the price to know how much founds do i need to add, the game crashes. it's weird.

edit: deleting the frost directory helped. i hope it won't happen again.
