anti-virus software can cause several types of problems:

• game does not run at all
• disconnection after server selection
• constant disconnections after 30 seconds of play
• gameguard errors

most issues can be solved by proper anti-virus setup. most simple method is adding folder and network exclusions.

folder exclusions:

• 'frost' folder (c:\program files\4game\lineage ii\frost by default)
• 'system' folder (c:\program files\4game\lineage ii\system by default)
• '4game' folder (c:\program files\4game\4game by default)

network exclusions:

• cdn.inn.eu
• frostsecurity.net
