multiboot won't help you until this problem it's solved?

 

now i just used half a day installing virtualbox
downloading from ur insane slow service with 200kbps
only to find out that u can not run lineage2 in a virtual machine (virtualbox) because u dont have the propper graphic drivers and directx so the game wont let u....

getting really really irritating and i think they wont fix the problem. or they cant, its just sad sad sad. and your vision on the problem is wrong!

if i buy a car at the garagae i pay for the waranty there and dont pay to the factory.
if there happens a problem with my car so it can not drive they will help me with either a new car or a temporary solution (a loan car) but they will never just kick me home and say it is a production failure.

in this example u can see that u not only lack the ability to keep us playing, wich is directly your fault because u are totally dependent on the koreans and have no knowledge about the game mechanics. but u also just blaming the koreans, wich is a problem in your company and not ours.

u also refuse to take our side in the problem, and have an open communication in what u did and proof that u are putting pressure on the koreans by showing us the emails or letters u are sending to them. nor are u willing to admit that this problem just simply will not be fixed because the lack of knowledge of windows8 is not something a free to play game can easily overcome. probably there have been no designers around in the holiday season at all and u are just fooling us by saying u are working on the problem.

if 1 programmer can not fix the problem in one day, he should find a new job. leave alone 3 weeks withour any kind of update or information. this service from ncsoft is below all standards and we feel as players from this company that u are just sitting around and waiting, without giving us any kind of solution or temporary fix.

so for god sake stop blaming ncsoft and take responsibility for ur own faults. u gladly put all the money we pay to u in your own pockets, so when u get a problem then solve it yourself or get ir solved asap! pick up the god damn phone and call to them every hour, stop payments to them till they fix it. charge them for every day your service dont work because of them! do ****ing something!

 

there is no windows 8 fix yet. this problem can be solved only by ncsoft korea.

 

the game was working fine with windows 8 before, so its not a windows 8 fix. its just a broken patch they released last time wich we need a fix for

 

choppie have right . they ****ed up palyable l2 on win 8 becouse of update . its simpple to check files before and after update and fix them... i always have a good opinion about innova service but this problem starting to change my mind seriouly i am patient person but this problem its to much for me.

 

this is a problem with protocol connection to l2 server, after last update, not with the game. that's all.

 

i have the same problem using windows 8, but i did manage to start and play lineage ii using program called virtualbox.
i used windows 7 64-bit.i'm still working on how to make game more smooth, its a bit laggy atm =/

my computer has 4gb of system memory, intel q6600 processor with 4 cores clocked at 2.4ghz and nvidia 250 gts 512mb.
i gave 2 cores, 2gb of system memory and 256mb graphic memory to virtualbox.the thing is i can't make lineage ii smooth enough to be playable.

any suggestion on how to improve performance of game in virtualbox?
btw, i'm new to this program and just spent 9 hours+ just to play lineage 2..

 

need more resources on graphic memory and ram

 

this is the max memory u can assign to memory in virtualbox, it doesnt support videocard drivers. there is no working setup for virtualbox and lineage2 at the moment

...max video ram i can give is 256, and i can give max 3.1gb of system ram, but making so makes host os less stable and laggy.
i watched performance in taskmaneger while lineage ii was opened.the thing is processor and ram was never at 100% or even close.it must be issue with graphic virtualization.it just cant support l2 as it requires too much of graphic power nowadays =/

 

ffs rly ppl making virtula drives etc to play l2 but they still didnt fix issue pathetic rly.

 

it is a free for all game, we can not do anything really
i installed vm ware and it works ok on lower graphics with 2 boxes.

i do agree though this is pathetic though, but no1 lissens anyways :=)

dear players,

we have bad news for you. although windows 8 is not officially supported, but to play it was possible. today we received a letter from the developers in which they said they found the problem in the patch (which we found today), because of which the client does not work properly on windows 8. this problem is also in the united states, japan and taiwan. developers are addressing this issue and we hope that they will soon send a patch with fix. we apologize for the inconvenience.

russians got the answer about issue... but eu and us didnt get it. its just great cooperation between nc soft and host's.

 

if problem isnt solved by 10th january or whenever innova make new patch, i will seriously install windows 7 on my pc.its a shame because i have original windows 8 =/

 

we have the same announcement with slight different wording here so ru have exactly the same answers as we do.

@cherrylipbalm, again there are no timeframes for a fix it will be when the developers fix it we have no further information as yet and we have said several times that when we do have further information it will be posted.
